When you have lighter DEs playing at DT that's what happens I guess. They just get pushed out of the way like it's nothing.

I think that is a big reason we haven't been blown out except vs Bama this year.

My guess is he very involved with the offense and does very little with defensive gameplanning

No, but solid lack of critical thinking there. Unless you are thinking that Butch should fire himself. That'd be an interesting case study in psychology.

FTR, I've said many times on here that you can't, and we won't, fire Butch. It's just an unrealistic solution on several levels. I'm not even out for blood for either coordinator.

I'm just curious as to what he is going to do at what I consider very much to be a crossroads.

I didn't write all those posts. I wrote mine. But if I did drone on about it for page after page and always took every post to talk about all the negativity, then yes, it would be time for me to move on and either accept it, put some people on ignore, or quit this thread entirely.

This might be the junction where we agree to disagree. :)

play a 5 man bear front or anything different. Vandy just gonna try to slam it down your throat like everyone else.Actually they will, theres no "trying" to it. We have no chance playing this same scheme. You can drive a truck through those lanes. Its embarrassing.

You left out..roll your DBs back into dang near prevent position so you give up tons of yards, but fewer backbreaking quick strike TDs. Effectively trading TDs for FGs. The defense stiffens as the field shrinks.

I think the BIG will get 1-2 in playoffs and perhaps 1-2 as at large in New Years 6 also. Looks real good for them this year.

I think Ohio State gets playoffs with Wisconsin possibly sneaking in as well with a win over Penn state in BIG championship.

Then Michigan makes New Years six along with maybe Penn State. If Penn State doesn't get selected they will be in Citrus.

Otherwise Nebraska will be in Citrus.

By the way it gets lost in all the moaning and groaning in here but we only have 2 Tennessee games left this year.

Enjoy it because come May we will be going crazy in here waiting for team 121.

Season goes by way too fast.

I agree. This is what I posted during the Mizzou game in that thread early in the second half when it became obvious the half time adjustments were not working. I am very surprised that Shoop obviously did not prepare for the game with that in mind after being gashed for 400+ rushing yards against UK and knowing how injured the roster was. I don't understand thinking that second and third teamers along with injured guys playing on one leg are going to hold up against quality rushing attacks. UK is #17 and Mizzou #34 in rushing in the country. Mizzou is #13 in total offense. UT is #52 in TO by comparison. That's after Saturday's game.

Keep doing things the same way and get the same results and we all know what you call that. Said in monotone Butchspeak for effect.

I don't know man. Lot of melodrama you have there. I don't track every post, but I just don't see a huge push to fire Butch.
