That makes sense. I see what you're saying now. I just fundamentally disagree about that inflating numbers. You do what you need to do to win. I view an inflation of a players stats as leaving them in during garbage time to run up the score. Just a difference of opinion.

Fuad Reveiz said it's the 2nd worst defense UT has had in the last 22 years and the only one it's better than is Sunseri's. He also said this defense has a lot more talent than that defense. His biggest complaints were not flying to the football and how wide our gaps are in the front 4. This was on Saturday night. Nothing earth shattering but that was his thoughts.

Has anyone heard if JRM will apply for medical redshirt or NFL draft? I knew there was talk a few weeks ago he could come back.

Well, I guess if you are talking about the Vandy game. 90 percent of play has been completed though, so hard to rally around that.

What I meant, was what do you change about your approach so that you aren't in an endless cycle of next best things?

I think he determines the type of game we are going to play and the type of game we need to play in order to give us the best chance to win.

Knowing what will work and what will not work vs different opponents.

I think that is a big reason we haven't been blown out except vs Bama this year.
