It's almost like we live in a world where different people have different opinions.

Mind. Blown.

I can read this in two different ways, but I think you're disagreeing with me.

I can boil my post down to this:

"I'm not saying you have to agree with everything and be all sunshiny and happy with everything, but there is a time to agree to disagree.

State your case, understand tact, and know when to move on."

There's plenty of room for different opinions. It's the tact and moving on part that is such a struggle.

I don't recall that happening. It's happened at OL with the Sullins brothers in 09.

Obvious that you're reaching because you don't want the DT situation to be an excuse for Shoop.

Yes I have said many times it's a excuse for being bad. My problem is I draw the line at somewhere between bad and worse that bad.

Honest question: when there are so many posts complaining about how negative the forum is, but it doesn't change, isn't it time to move on?

But now you are reaching, trying to make our DT situation not as bad as it is.

When people post things like "I hope Paul Bain can play this week" then you know we suck at DT.

Shoop can be a disappointment and injuries still be an excuse. It can be both. It's not either or.

Fans aren't happy with him. But they also understand the situation we are in.

I think the biggest difference in the SEC is that the gap between the quality of DL vs OL is greater than other leagues. I'd argue that OL play across Power 5 conferences is comparable, but DL play in the SEC is head and shoulders better than what you see in every other league. That factor alone drives QB production down in the SEC.

Oh I 100 percent agree that the SEC dominance over the past years is due in large part to the big, athletic DLmen who are so numerous in conference recruiting areas. That's nothing new.

But that list of QBs is especially bad. Its come close lately, but it hasn't been that bad in a long time.

Judge Irwin made some comments yesterday on Hyams program that he thinks Barnett's play has been partially to blame for our troubles stopping the run. I'm paraphrasing but he basically was saying that Barnett was too focused on trying to get sacks every play and not filling his gap to help with the run game.

If that is the case, it seems like something Shoop and Strip should be able to correct. I want Barnett to get the record as bad as the next guy, but right now it is all hands on deck to stop the run.

He also said Shoop isn't doing anything with his plan to help the DTs. Said Having them just take on blockers was ignorant.

Oh the DT is bad almost as bad as it's ever been.

But the results are worse than they have ever been

Bad situation with even worse results is my stance

Yet you can take this to the bank...Hurts will be named 1st team All-SEC over Josh.

QB in the SEC may be a bright spot going forward tho. JG, Eason, Bentley, Hurts, Patterson Franks. That position is going to be better. Drew Locke is also improving

Love how you just go right over QD and mention JG. We haven't seen JG take one snap yet. Sorta like Kongbo that we all went nuts over thinking he was the second coming of Barnett. Not saying JG wont be good but we got a glimpse of the arm strength of QD. He looked pretty darn good and accurate.

If VQ has overwhelming positive coverage of JG during spring and fall camp, we can safely write him off as being a bust.

Dobbs numbers are inflated because we've entered 3 shootouts this year. Two of which don't happen if our D could have stopped a nosebleed.

Doesn't mean he didn't have a good year. Just saying there's factors involved in the numbers.

I said this to the guys I sit with a few times Saturday. On one drive in particular, they ran right at (by) him 3 straight plays for like 60+ yards.

Don't get me wrong, I love DB. But he's thinking about that record.

Eh, I disagree. That's like saying Lamar Jacksons numbers are inflated because they score too much. Or Fournettes numbers are inflated because LSU can't throw(not the case this year, but last year). You can't pick your circumstances, you just roll with what you're dealt.
