Russell has terrible hands. I don't think you can teach that. Nunn was playing a lot tougher when she was in.

First time this year I get to see the Lady Vols and thought their defense would be much improved this season, but not seeing it tonight. Also, to many easy baskets missed by the veteran players!

That's true. Not every skill is a tangible teaching skill. But that said, she could be doing better than she is. I don't know why she plays as she does, but I believe she could be doing more. Maybe not a lot more, but more. She's got to be a presence for this team to succeed.

Quick question: The PSU defense is clogging up the inside, so why aren't Middleton and Dunbar placed on each end of the baseline???

Not really a top 25 team to me. We desperately need a PG like REALLY BAD! Nunn isn't giving us anything either. I say Holly just needs to play with Kamara give her a shot instead.

Funny how the same old problems surface when we play real teams. Poor perimeter defense, pathetic outside shooting (29 percent!), weak guard play. Same old stuff. Warlick is not going to fix this program, people.

I didn't share your optimism but I shared your hope. I desperately want it to work out with the current approach and staff. But they do not show toughness, have not shown toughness in years, and without it, well, I don't know how they can win without some toughness.

That and turnovers. I realize we're hurting for a real point guard but the number of poor decisions they make as a team is astounding. The other problems, that's a something different, but turnovers should be a point of personal pride. At least, I would think. I'd take just bringing the ball up the court rather than high risk passes into the paint from half court anytime.

Exactly and it hasn't happened up to this point.

The excuse this season will be is that we only have 9 players. But we already know why we have 9 players available. :eek:k:
