He's 1/1. Heck of a lot easier on defense so that one doesn't count.
You guys need to look at how many Hail Marys are successful over the course of history. Megatron was brought up. How many Hail Marys he catch in his career?
It's a low percentage play but it's not luck. We executed that perfectly because we practiced it and we were coached better for it. Georgia wasn't prepared and didn't defend it properly. It's not luck.
So What did we have to do with Georgia defending it horribly?
Seems to me that was part of the luck on our part.

I will agree then, if you will agree that Georgia's last TD was luck, also. It was a horribly executed defensive play and a perfectly executed offensive play (except for the holding they got away with). Would you say that was a lucky play, too?
I think there was luck involved in Georgia's TD. Biggest part of that was a terrible play by Foreman. It took serious skill on that as well with the throw.
It did take skill, I agree. Just like Dobbs throwing the Hail Mary to the perfect spot in the endzone and JJ making an incredibly skillful play to go up and get it. Josh Smith was ready for the tip if it came his way and it looked like the other WR kind of helped to screen some of the defenders. That took practice and skill as well.
The Georgia play was less lucky and required a little more skill than the Hail Mary but both needed both luck and skill.
Luck would be if it got batted down, hit a players foot and bounced up in the air and then we caught it.
Executing it to perfection while Georgia defended it horribly is not luck.
How was it less lucky? It was further and our guy was way out of position. It was pitch and catch. It was a 49 yard pass with 17 seconds left. It almost always takes a pretty big defensive breakdown in that game situation to allow it to be completed.
