Yep. He's not a Vol to me anymore and I won't be cheering him on in the NFL, when and if he makes it.

He's Arian Foster 2.0

Too harsh on Foster. Foster never quit. All he's done is state some crazy opinions that he knew would never harm the program but would bring attention to a cause that he felt needed attention. It wasn't right and he shouldn't have went about it the way he did but he never harmed our team. The same can't be said of Mr. Hurd.

He (Foster) blatantly lied to bring attention to himself.

If we go 10-4 for the season though, it means we went 9-3 in regular season, went to ATL and lost and then won a decent bowl game.......or 9-3, went to and won the SECCG and lost a really good bowl game.

Either way, most expectations for this year were to make it to ATL. Winning the SECCG and going to the playoffs were not what most were truly expecting. The most anyone ever said in that regard was that we could be possible playoff contenders

If we get to 10-4 for the season (bowl included) then we actually did meet most peoples (talking heads). Just not in the way we expected to do it.

Hurd hasn't said a thing to the media and has caused zero public problems. Some of you guys are too emotional.

All things considered... If we win out and go 9-3 is this season considered a success?

No.

Losing to SC was like opening an LV bag and seeing nothing but garbage inside.

An OC that expired in 99.

A WR coach that hasn't developed a Go-To WR or a 1000 yd WR in 4 years.

A OL coach that had his guys manhandled by small kids from APP St and OHIO

One of the worst QB's in the SEC

A quitter RB that was supposed to be a star and 1st round NFL RB... lol

A LB coach that had to play a walk on because he won't or can't develop the scholarship players he has.

Losing to SC just exposed how underwhelming our coaching staff really is.

This season has been an utter failure.

Y'all realize you are hoping a one loss team will lose two more, while a team that just lost to a bottom feeder as well as 3 in a row needs to win out. I realize stranger things have happened and the orange runs deep. Hope it happens. It would restore faith in Butch somewhat.

You realize that one's schedule is significantly easier than the other right?

BAMA has been running both spread and West Coast elements since Kiffin arrived. They ran a ton of spread and incorporated the HUNH that Saban had previously maligned last season. Some have called the offense they ran a pro-style spread or a power spread. It's actually not that different from what we run and it's similar to what Petrino ran at Arkansas. Here's a preview article on it: Alabama Football 2015 Preview: Why the Pro Style Spread Could Emerge - Roll 'Bama Roll

As for us, why on Earth would you tailor your offense to an RB who never had home run ability when you have other players (Dobbs, Kamara, Kelly, etc.) that it fits and the complaining RB was effective in when he actually gave effort?

Spot on!! Hurd was <500 yards from breaking the all time rushing record in 3 years what took other backs to achieve in 4...and the scheme is no no good?!?!

Had to make a quick over night trip last night so before I go catch up on all the posts, just wanted to congratulate Drvinner and all the Cubs fans on here for the WS championship! Can only imagine the feeling they must have enjoyed after so many years of anguish.

So, hope you enjoy, and this is coming from a die-hard Cardinal fan..

Thanks, barry, much appreciated. The feeling, 32 hours later, is still indescribable. I do have a lot of respect for the Cardinals' organization, I just can't bring myself to cheer for them :). Thanks, again. This one was definitely one for the ages.

Too emotional? Nah, most have played sports in here or some are military and it would have never entered our minds to quit on our teammates in the middle of the season for selfish reason. I couldn't cheer for him either IF he makes it to the NFL. In fact IF he makes it to NFL, I think he's to soft, he will be announced representing another college. He said he couldn't take the pounding in SEC, wait until he goes pro.

drvenner, your not proud of those Cubs are you? HAHA! I would be to buddy congrats!

I slept about two hours Wednesday night (Thursday morning), but I am still walking on air. The best part is all of my friends and family know how much I love the Cubs and the congratulations from people I care about really makes me happy. I got emails at work from people who had been gone more than 10 years to congratulate me. It is an unreal, amazing, fantastic, feeling and it is not wearing off even one bit :)

Perhaps...and you are right, while he was here, Foster worked hard, of that I have no doubt. He was never one of my favorites but, yeah, he worked. So there's that...

That being said, he brought about all the wrong kind of attention to the program during a time when we were just beginning to crawl out of one of, if not THE, worst periods in this program's history.

Why? To bring attention to an issue that already had a huge spotlight on it. Groundbreaking...

Considering how long it has been since TN won 9 games in a regular season what else would you call it? Sure we all thought it would be at least 10 wins but winning out is still better than any recent history.

It would not be a success because we gagged away a golden opportunity to play for a championship. Even if Florida wins out, I would consider it a success without going to the SECCG because I would think that we had done just about all that we could do. I would agonize over the A and M loss, but I can accept that one because we fought hard and came withan an eyelash of upsetting a Top
10 team on the road.

What if we dominate our last 4 games, lose in a very close game in the SEC championship, then dominate a top 15 team in the bowl game

This season considered a success?

Still, no. We would have backed into it and we never, ever should have lost to SC.
