Do yall remember the Kelly run at SC to the right when he saw his lane and went half speed to full speed instantly? Was a wow moment for me. I think he goes nuts vs Tech.

Lol...lose to one of the worst teams in the SEC, and they write about Butch and assistants missing out on bonuses! How about writing about how much they disappointed the fans on missing out getting to see our team in the SEC championship game for the first time in what seems like forever?! Who cares that Butch isn't going to get a bonus that equates to 2.5% of his salary, which is peanuts!

To me, even if we win out and make it to Atlanta, there is a VERY strong likelihood that we would lose that game. I'm not saying I don't want to be in the SEC Championship game, and I realize that you can't win the game unless you're playing in it...but anyone being honest would have to admit that we'd be heavy underdogs in the game.

Under that assumption, any W-L record this year that ends with a "4" is disgusting.

Also, we take for granted that we'll win a bowl game. Although Jones has had his teams well prepared for bowl games the past two years, if there's been anything consistent about this season, it's been that team 120 has struggled with the things that teams 118 and 119 did well. It's certainly possible that trend could continue with bowl game performance/results. Which means the possibility exists that we could end up 9-5 on the year. :puke5:

It's been discussed. And, in my opinion, the bigger issue is Butch's handling of the situation.

Ya, there's usually plenty of blame on both sides in these situations. The player for being the cancer, but often times the coach could have done things to keep the cancer from forming or could have nipped it early.

I do agree that there is still a lot to play for. But, my problem is that we had a great opportunity slip away and all Butch said was that it was just another game.

Coach speak. Y'all are crazy if you don't think he knows how big and bad of a loss that was.

Well then why come to a place made for that very purpose? If this place makes you so sad, stay away. Your blood pressure will be lower.

You've attempted to own the purpose of this board...typical know it all doom pimp.

Saw a little of that in every game he's had an opportunity... the hype on this board wasn't groundless. If you want to talk failure from the coaches, not getting him into the mix (even a little) qualifies.

Which is exactly why, if Butch has played favorites as has been mentioned several times, that better be one of the first things that ceases and he puts the best players on the field, regardless of ego or whom momma and daddy are.

If we don't have 3,000,000 turnovers at A&M we are prob #5 behind Washington

Texas AM is four... and we would have beat three teams in the top twenty five with the one of the hardest schedules in the nation. I'm thinking we'd be four.

I think getting our tail whooped by Bama would put us defacto behind schools that haven't played Bama.

SN: It is ridiculous Clemson is #2. If NC St has a kicker they'd have a loss.

While I agree... We wanted Hurd to get his touches (prior to the meltdown), we wanted Kamara to get touches, we want Kelly to get touches, we want Dobbs to get touches. We want to feed Jauan, feed Byrd, get Malone involved earlier in the game, feed the TEs.

There's only one ball, and there are only so many offensive plays per game. I agree that Kelly was ready to help this offense before we actually started using him in this offense. But Kamara 20+... Kelly 15+... Dobbs 15... Jauan 10... and so on... eventually, the math doesn't work. Somebody has to take a back seat.

It would have been cool to see Tennessee in the top 4, but after last year, I think having aTm is largely posturing by the committee. They did this a lot last year just to create drama with Iowa, Oklahoma's fluctuating ranking, etc.

For all the olders on this board, I compare this crossroads for Butch to Majors in 88. Majors could have folded after losing the 6th game and guaranteeing a losing nonbowl season, but he totally reinvented. Fired Donohue and converted offensive players to defense and vice versa. Seemed like no rhyme or reason but he showed the team he wouldn't tolerate folding. Next season? One loss and he never really looked back. Was a transforming moment for the program. Butch needs to open all possibilities and dump any sacred cows off the nearest cliff. His moment.
