He wouldn't get drafted. There's so many more NFL style backs out there. There's guys at other schools that nobody thinks about that will be better NFL runners. Jeremy McNichols at Boise State is one just as an example outside of all the big name guys.

If the rumors of the attitude are true, he won't make an nfl roster.

Why do people blame Butch for Hurd's struggles running? John Kelly looks great. Same o line, same defenses, same plays, same football.

I've been blaming Hurd for awhile now. I just don't think he's good. I'm picky about my pro team and who they draft. I do NOT want them to even sign Jalen as an UDFA if this crap is true. Not only is his play mediocre but now theres an attitude? I wouldn't pay minimum wage for his services on my pro team

Yes, there was a team meeting tonight that was to start sometime around 8. Am told it was a "clear the air" meeting to flush it and move forward to try to regain the momentum this team had through five games.
As I reported, multiple folks on campus, on staff, said Kongbo isn't going anywhere. He's frustrated. Wants to play more. Hasn't had the success he expected or wanted --- especially after such a high-profile recruitment.
As for Hurd, I watched him get checked out by trainers on Saturday night and we reported that as well. However, no one has specified that he could/could not return to the game. It was likewise clear he was very frustrated as well --- even in scoring the Vols' first touchdown.

You responded to someone that has been to every SEC venue except Baton Rouge, College Station, and Columbia to see UT play. I have also been to Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Miami, South Bend, Berkeley, Norman, and Tempe to see them play. I certainly don't need a lecture about spending time and money to watch my alma mater.

I was responding to Catbone. Maybe it's just his schtick, but he quits every time this program gets hit with adversity, whether it's in the middle of a game or sometime else. Other people follow suit. I am ultra competitive, but people get so emotional that they come up with stupid stuff to criticize. I am all for constructive criticism, and we all want to win. Some of you guys are crying about the sunshine pumping "jerks." Well, yes, I choose to be positive in life even in adversity. You suck it up, improve, and fight on. We all hope changes will be made in the offseason. Unfortunately, some of our fans are soft, too. I will keep doing what I do.

I'm with you, didn't mean for my post to seem like a personal target at you. More broadly intended it towards those who cannot help but bash posters anytime a negative opinion is posted.

We're all on edge in here. Winning cures all.

VQ trying to sell subs and you guys are eating it up. Never seen a group take rumors and run with them like they are facts as much as VOLS fans do.

This is so great!!

With 3.0 sacks on Saturday, Tennessee's Derek Barnett now 29.0 in his career - THE MOST AMONG ALL CURRENT FBS PLAYERS!
26.0 in @SEC play!

There would be about 10 RBs taken in front of him this year, including his teammate.

I didn't mean to say he would be highly drafted. I just think him turning pro would do just as much good as transferring. One more year in college isn't going to change is draft stock. It'll just take another year from his earning potential.
