Do you people really trust AD Hart, who wanted to keep Dooley, hired CBJ, gave him a way to early extension, the chance to hire another coach at UT? I would rather wait and let Blackburn or whomever the next AD is to fire CBJ and hire the next coach. Hart will saddle us with another sub par coach at best. The only hire I want him to make is the moving company.

Realistically though, I doubt a huge coaching move will be made this year simply due to the AD position being in limbo. Once Blackburn (fingers crossed) comes along, I assume Butch has one season to prove himself or Blackburn will bring in his own guy.

Lets just look at the #'s for Jones. He's now 26-20 as a head coach. 5-14 against ranked teams & 1-12 against the top 15. 3-9 against Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. How the heck is he still the head coach at the University of Tennessee. As a season ticket holder for 20 years and a fan who has been going since he was 5 it's time to rip the Band-Aid off. Fire this bum now.

I watch game film on a small level and see that Dobbs throws to the receiver that he looks at soon as ball is snapped 75% of the time. Also see throws to double and triple covered guys while a receiver is wide open else where, smart kid but not football smart. Watch the play of his last INT, there was an outside receiver, think was Malone that could have walked into the end zone.

I'm with you 100%.

Savvy administration doesn't make personnel moves without a replacement lined up.

I'm curious who the upgrade available is, and whether or not we can afford his buyout?

I'll take another year or two of 8-10 win's while under performing with our talent level.

I've been a staunch Butch Supporter. I am now a staunch Butch Apologist.

I don't condone firing him, and I admit he needs to redeem himself.

I would like to see him immediately get pragmatic about our future :

Either bench Dobbs for Dormandy or have them start alternating 1/2's or possessions at QB.

As much as I love Dobbs, he's a true VFL, and I think he was the perfect fit to take us from a sub .500 team to a 8-10 win team it's time to accept his limited upside. He just can't display any consistent passing accuracy.

That's a tough call for Butch to make but he's got to accept we have a major hump to get over.

10-3 is still very much a possibility. Butch needs to show he can make innovative changes as we close our year out bringing us to 9-3.

When the OL is bad, so goes the QB. Remember poor ole Worley. He had 2 secs to throw. Remember even the opposing coach Bob Stoops of Oklahoma after the game paid Worley compliments of hanging in the pocket and was getting killed. It is all about the OL

Well if they don't think enough of the program to pay a big name coach why should we think enough of it to keep watching this same crap year after year. I am getting too tired and old for this.
