28-14. These games against USC are always close. I think that we play down to our competition and then break away in the fourth.

SC has allowed no more than 28 pts. this season (to GA) & GA's last score was an onside kick returned for a TD.

OTOH, they have scored 13, 14, 20, 10, 13, & 14 vs. Vandy, MSU, East Carolina, Ky, aTm, & GA.

So 28-13 Vols. The dreaded TO's could make it closer.

This is where I really disagree with you. TN TECH and Misery at least will be two blow outs.

Totally agree! It's also time to start whipping these lower teams by a bigger margin to impress the voters. If we play down to our competition and squeak by, we don't move up the polls as quickly.

Hopefully Butch will recognize this and not worry about the opposing coach's feelings and put a can of whip azz on them..

I could agree with that assumption. But, fully healthy I don't think we beat Bama period. Maybe only a 10-14 point loss instead of a 39 point loss but still no victory. :wink:

Are we truly going to be without Wiesman and Hall as Hyams has suggested? That is concerning. And if Dobbs continues to not run it might get ugly really quick. Hoping USCe has a bad defense- I haven't watched them at all this year.
