I'm over it. It's what I and most reasonable people expected, just a bit worse. The injury situation set us up for an embarrassment. Playing bama every year is pretty sh****.
The question is
1) Can we get back enough players to be good enough to win out and win the East? One more SEC loss and we lose.
2) How bad will this hurt recruiting? This was supposed to be a huge day
3) Will this team fold under the stress and disappointment? I hope we are mentally tough
All three are major concerns.
We just weren't ready for this game. If we're healthy in Atlanta it'll be a different game. We may not win still, but will be a lot better than this
doesn't matter how healthy we are in ATL if our coaches put a game plan together like this, we will get rolled just the same. The play calling was from two years ago and clearly our coaches coached scared. Dobbs didn't run at all... WTF? With so many injuries, good coaches adjust and put their kids in the best situation, we did not do that.... running it up the middle 2 out of 3 plays, every series, doesn't get it done. Not letting Dobbs try and make up for our situation and give them something else to worry about and another threat is not getting it done... I would kill to hear Butch's coach speak on why Dobbs didn't run today... talk about Regression. Kind of scary... I said we wouldn't win because of our injuries, but shouldn't have gotten blown out... that is on the COACHES...
AND- I wouldn't book your tickets yet, we still have SC and Mizz left... we play like this and it will be a nail biter... really sad for the kids tonight.
You're nuts. This isn't on the coaches at all.
Tell us what the coaches could have realistically done different. We had our third string line vs the best front 7 in the country. Dobbs gets tossed around like a rag doll when trying to pass. No push when running. Not much you can do when you can't block the other team.

I still think butch or the ad needs to have a long talk with the SEC about the refs we have. A lot of no calls in two weeks and as a result a lot of our guys get hurt
Bingo. This was just terrible timing for playing Alabama and the injuries made a huge difference through out, even into special teams.
I figured we'd get beat badly although I wasn't expecting 49-10. But this feels like when Clemson got waxed by Florida state a few years back. Just got to put it behind us and keep grinding. Good days are still ahead.
Several things to say about this game. We were never going to beat Bama as injured as we are. I thought we had a chance because I didn't know the extent of the injuries. Our DT depth is no depleted. 4 of 5 offensive linemen were out. We were playing 4th string linebackers, can't beat a team like Bama with that many injuries. Offensive play calling was also terrible, but with the OL we were forced to play with its hard to complain too much. But calling Hurd/Kamara up the middle every first down and refusing to run Dobbs is inexcusable. The only thing I can think is that they were trying to protect Dobbs and keep him from getting hurt. But it makes no sense
