Verne and Gary

They've actually been rooting for us all year.

I really like Gary and Verne this year.

Honestly, I've never understood what people are so worked up about when it comes to them. Gary is pretty good and Verne stumbles a little, but he's harmless.

Well they'll be losing their mind over the Jalen Hurd and Jalen Hurts name similarity.

I'd love something like this from Verne "WHen Jalen Hurd hits you Jalen Hurd hurts you, but Jalen Hurd was hurt, and I heard that Jalen Hurts wasn't hurt because his offensive line is a hurd."

Vols have been good for the ratings....

Every week they are doing very well compared to last year and compared to ABC game. I think the only game that beat a game Tennessee was involved in was the Mich/Wisc game the week of the Tennessee-Georgia

Take a drink every time this is messed up Saturday and you'll be dead before halftime.

We have given them some pretty good football to watch the past few weeks so I don't think they can complain too much.

Their Bias is completely uncalled for, I refuse to listen to announcers that are blatantly biased for one team or another.....Gary D is a smart ass

I'm sorry but I can't stand that we even play on CBS. Love the spotlight for the 330 game but I wish we had a different network than having to listen to those goobers.

I'm sure the feelings mutual. Knowing they can't stand UT, this is sort of redemption for vols fans, especially knowing it tore them up we won UF and UGA games. I'd love to be a fly on the wall during commercial breaks and hear what they say about us.

Hope we shut their asses up again saturday.

I'd love another rendition of the '86 Sugar Bowl. Miami came in flying high and even worse than Bama type obnoxious - hard to believe, I know. Pregame, no superlatives were good enough to describe Miami. The first part of the opening quarter looked bad, and Keith Jackson was talking blowout - Keith Jackson was more competent and arrogant an announcer than Vern but with a big Miami bias, and completely ready to write us off - like an over match so bad it didn't deserve playing. By halftime they were stunned. Sometime into the second half you could see the absolute shock - they realized Miami wasn't coming back; by the end of the game they were fumbling for words.

Some of you who like seeing Miami make a come back will have to forgive us older guys who put our hatred for Miami on about the same plane as ND and anything little10.

If it had not been injuries it would have been CBS TV timeouts I'm sure. Their games also seem to go longer than the other others. Something they have been known for for a long time. I love the time slot. I just cringe knowing it's going to be a long one every time.

I just set the DVR to record the game so that I can rewind and rewatch after I change channels for commercials and then settle in. It's never a problem for bathroom or snack breaks. The main goal is to be caught up by the end of the game. The two biggest problems - anything worth reviewing is usually shown fifteen times anyway - even if it screws up the start of the next play; and somehow half the time every damn station manages to have commercials at the same time - doesn't matter if it's an injury or called timeout.

I agree. I've never picked up on them "hating us" and I've always enjoyed their broadcast. I guess it's the golfer in me that loves hearing Verne on 16 at Augusta that allows me to enjoy the football broadcast as well.

I dunno, Verne sounded pretty excited about the game winning reception in the UGA game.

I see several comments about these two disliking UT. I haven't heard anything from them that would lead me to believe this, in fact I think it's the opposite. While our players were celebrating in the stands over beating Florida I remember one of them (I believe it was Verne) said, "What could you not like about this school."

Verne and Gary can't stand UT? That's crazy talk.

From yesterday: "CBS Sports’ Gary Danielson calls Alvin Kamara the best RB in the SEC"

What's not to love?!?!

GBO!

Tell that to the speech to text software Mr.Language police.

Did not know we were being graded

I've noticed that most speech-to-text programs get it right if you pronounce due like dew (dyoo) rather than as do.
Otherwise the hard u sound gets confused with oo.

Gerne and Vary gonna do what Gerne and Vary do! UT fans are just gonna have to suck it up or turn the sound down.
