I just turn the volume down on the television, turn on the Vol Network, and try to imagine John Ward. the natural gas ads help with that.

I really hate the fact that the commercials never change on this network. We will sit thru the same ones from the previous 3 weeks. If we have to watch them please change it up a little!

I'm sure the feelings mutual. Knowing they can't stand UT, this is sort of redemption for vols fans, especially knowing it tore them up we won UF and UGA games. I'd love to be a fly on the wall during commercial breaks and hear what they say about us.

TBH, I disagree. Here's why:

I live in Indiana (not Vol country). I went to a friends' river house after our win over Ohio. They can't get cable out there. They do have an antenna though. So what did we watch for 3 straight hours after I got there? Alabama-Ole Miss. Not an SEC fan in the room, but it was the only game on that they could get, so we watched it.

The exposure that a CBS game gets you far surpasses the exposure of an ESPN game. You reach people who ESPN can't. EVERYONE gets CBS. People that otherwise wouldn't give a rip about our game suddenly do.

Who knows, we may have earned a few thousand Vol fans after our performances on National TV the last 3 weeks. GBO!

Gary doesn't hate UT, but his man love for Saban is undeniable. If the game gets out of hand in favor of UAT we may see Gary's vinegar strokes.

I must be the only Vol fan who doesn't have a problem with Verne and Gary. They've been alot more complimentary of our program the last couple of years than the hacks at espn.

Sean Mcdonough was the best college announcer I've heard till CBS fired him and replaced him with lundquist.

The best commentary team would be Nessler and Herbstreit. Unfortunately I think they've only called games together in video games.

The thing I like about Herbstreit in addition to him just being a great analyst is that it would be so easy for him to be an Ohio State homer (and he'd be able to get away with it too) and he is not.

It took Herbie YEARS to get off the OSU & Big 10 bandwagon. He's quick to give them a good spin if the circumstances present itself. Do not get it twisted.

If you had listened to their broadcasts, you wouldn't want to do that. And after they play Bumbling Bob, I would make that it skunkskin caps.

Tried that once since John called it quits. Destroyed a perfectly good sledge hammer busting that radio.

You Verne haters can suck it, for the life of me I don't understand how you can dislike a guy who is genuinely a nice man who loves sports and college football the way he does because he messes up some words. It's just dumb. Ill just leave this here from this afternoon.
