The weed argument gets rehashed every time this happens, no one ever changes their mind.
The legality is irrelevant anyway, it would most likely still be a NCAA and/or team rule. So same result. Nobody's personal beliefs make any difference in this situation.
Wait until it's legalized nation wide.
This is some of the same idiotic reasoning I hear before a city/municipality finally goes wet after being dry for years and years. It's just stupid. It's really hard to have an intelligent conversation with someone like you. Are you a gun control nutcase as well?
Not exactly a reputable medical site. Their home page also links the story: "NASA Has Discovered A New Planet Covered With Marijuana"![]()
Kid gets carried off on a stretcher and hospitalized. Then, a day later is kicked off the team. It's just bad optics. It's all about perception. Opposing coaches know some 17 year old recruit isnt going to consider team/AD policy. They can spin it as cruel and unusual. "You see what UT does to its own when you make a mistake"? It's not right, but I could see it happening. Negative receuiting is a huge deal for every SEC team.
Whoever is in charge of PR should be fired. He likely isn't playing again anyway, why publicly boot him 2 days after acting like he was about to die?
How will this be used against us? Because our coaches don't tolerate drugs?
