HIPPA and hospital cooperation has come a LONG way the last 20 years. One tiny HIPPA violation by a hospital employee WILL get them instantly fired these days, no exceptions. I've seen it happen multiple times. I can promise you anyone on the staff in that ER that had access wouldn't spill a thing.

I've completed about half a dozen classes for an Addiction Counseling degree. Since I was originally a chemist (I'm retired now), I was very interested in the brain chemistry aspects of addiction and dependence. Dr. David Nutt published a paper about a decade ago that discusses the various aspects of drug abuse...it may be a bit dry for some but very interesting to me.

It's a shame. If it was a positive drug test these kids know not to do it and do it anyhow. And knowing there's a good chance of getting caught. THC stays in your system a long time.

The school would have to have a specific protocol in place to drug test players who get injured on the field much like employees have for workers who get injured on the job. I would guess whatever he tested positive for was worse than weed.

I'm pretty sure drug test are administered mid week like Wednesday or Thursday and then I'm fairly certain they don't get those test back until the following week. So I would say he got randomly selected last week and the results came back yesterday.

Pot meet kettle (pun intended)!

Oxycotin is a safe medicine to deal with pain relief....its also a huge problem for folks self medicating.

Penicillin is also a safe medicine but only when used for the designed purpose.

Doubt weed would be considered a problem in this country if the only folks consuming were those with cancer.

Danny faked his injury to give the team a lengthy breather. He confided this to the emergency personnel, which was relayed back to Butch and the NCAA. Butch had no choice
