If Hurd is as quick as I think he is, and would cut some in the open field instead of just plowing ahead then he would break a long one. Love the punishing style and I know sometimes he doesn't get started with getting hit early but would like to see him juke and jive when he breaks into open field. He trucked that Georgia guy last year but a quick cut may have got him in the endzone standing up.
My all time favorite was Jamal lewis he ran with so much power,my second favorite was little man Stewart. boy do I miss the "over the top" plays when we was on the goal line those were the days
I remember an over the top play where the running back... Travis Henry I believe... Landed on his head and lay motionless on the field for several minutes and was placed on a back board and carted off. I have never heard 100,000 people be so quiet.

I recall that one too. Was telling someone about it the other day. Unreal how quiet it was.
If he would have stayed healthy I don't believe his records would have ever been broken! If Hurd is as quick as I think he is, and would cut some in the open field instead of just plowing ahead then he would break a long one. It was quiet until his Momma got on back of the John Deere. She elevated the front wheels just off the ground and they could not turn it to head back into the tunnel. They had to unload her to get the front wheels back on the ground. The driver initially could not figure what was going on and was over working the steering wheel.
Hilarious!!!
Johnny Majors, Gene McEver, and Beattie Feathers all belong in the conversation of greatest Vol RB ever.
