Rooting for SEC teams when they aren't playing Tennessee

Do you pull for other SEC football teams (when not playing UT)?

I agree. I usually pull for everyone not named Alabama or Florida. But the only SEC team I caught myself going for today was Auburn. Next week, they can lose by 100. I just happen to hate Clemson a little more than Auburn 😄 Also, I sort of figured why in the hell pull for SEC teams??? I get you want your conference to be stronger because it makes our wins more impressive but the more they struggle, the easier recruiting is.

I usually pull for an SEC team when I can. Except Bama. Never Bama.

I ONLY care about ONE Team in the SEC...Tennessee!

ALL others stand in the way of Tennessee being a Champion...

Therefore, I do NOT wish them well.

The struggles of our fellow SEC teams this weekend did lift my spirits. It doesn't erase my unease about our performance on Thursday, but is sure did brighten my mood. There is too much history with each SEC team except A&M for me to feel anything positive about them. I wish they all lost and I wish somehow USCe and Candy had both managed to lose too.

Not an SEC homer and I will never chant SEC.

That was my list too! Gotta say I wasn't too disappointed either. Usually less of those games go the way I wanted them to.

The talking heads try to pit conference fan bases against each other. It helps their bottom line with advertising. It hurts UT in recruiting if they go 9-4 and their in conference recruiting foes go 10-3 or better. I never get it but they sale fans to pull for their rivals under the guise of conference loyalty..its marketing genius. Most blindly follow. SMH

Being an SEC fanboy is the height of stupidity. I only pull for other SEC teams when it helps UT.

Screw the rest of the SEC. I'll pull against Florida, Bama, and Georgia every game. I don't mind LSU, Texas AM, or Mississippi State. Used to not mind Ole Miss until Freeze started throwing sacks of $$$$$ around.

I have a lot of ties to various SEC schools, so I root for those. Pull for who you want to pull for. It's a game for crying out loud. The "rules of fanhood" stuff is bandied about by people who take football way too seriously. Like Bama fans who poison trees and physically harm one another over it.

I can promise you that Alabama fans never pull for another Sec team. So, I don't pull for the SEC either! It didn't help Tennessee when the SEC was winning 7 straight NC, we were getting worse and worse! And no one in the SEC cared! We were the butt of every joke, so, you know what, I loved seeing Auburn flounder in one of the worst coaching performances I've ever seen. To Heck with Auburn, and every other team in the SEC, I'm from Tennessee!!

Use common sense and pull for your conference.

Why is it common sense to pull for your conference? I hate all of those teams. Whether the SEC is up or down, if we win all our games or even go with one loss and an SEC title we go to the playoffs, and with bowl tie ins it doesn't matter that much for non-playoff bowls. So aside from bragging rights to other conference fans, why does it matter?

I clicked "always," but only because that's closer to the truth than the other two options. Sometimes hate rules even though I always try to be rational and logical about it. :)

I pull for any sec team playing:
any acc team, my friends are acc guys and have little man syndrome about the sec and how its not that good
Usc
Ohio st
Michigan
Oklahoma
Texas
Penn st

We have a weak fan base if we need every other sec team to be bad for us to claim how good we are.
