Unfortunately you can't have inexpensive living and not expect outsiders not to move in.
Oh yes we can. Here in Florida all you people that come spend your money at Disney World are paying the lion's share of the expenses. Tourist tax. It's awesome.

I may, hopefully, have done my last TDY of Disney World till grandkids come along (years from now we hope). DW has soaked me for more times than I care to think about. I keep thinking they've priced out the middle class but we just keep digging deep for the kids. They must know where the threshold for pain is.

I've never been there but we're planning a trip to the big apple next spring for a Yankees game, I'll check it out
I saw the Yankees play in Spring Training this year, came back, and told my friends that A-Rod was done. He couldn't even hit batting practice very well.

Unfortunately you can't have inexpensive living and not expect outsiders not to move in. Everyone wants to live the small town, slow pace life style but want to keep others out.

When I lived in the northeast I never met anyone who had plans to retire and move to the south. I didn't understand it, I always wondered who people chose to live there. Cost of living was high, taxes were high and the winters were really cold.

Some people are just used to the type of culture they were raised in. Outside Atlanta, I don't see myself living in any other southern city to be honest.

You need to get out more. I'm
not talking the south. I mean out more. Atlanta is an absolute ****hole.

Blasphemy.

And I've been to many cities. But none in the south I would leave Atlanta for.

I wouldn't mind living in Miami, LA, San Diego, New York, DC, San Francisco, etc.

Nashville is a better, less ****ty version of Atlanta. Charlotte isn't bad either

Just for fun google our most impoverished states and tell me how long they have been in Republican hands.
I assume that it will list not only percentage of people below the poverty level, but it will be adjusted for cost of living in those states?

Arkansas. Had a dem for 2 terms. He spent all of the money Huckabee generated in that time frame. We have Hutchinson now. We have a surplus again in 2 years.

We will get back to where we were under Huckabee in due time. ( 30 billion surplus)

Damn liberal gov almost sank the state in a very short time.

Thanks for your concern.

The wealthy don't destroy their own communities... They tend to take a lot of pride on what is privately owned homes/businesses
