Observation: Trump just made the statement that Obama and Hillary Clinton created ISIS. That's about as controversial a statement a candidate can make, yet there has been very little bashing in the media about it or even in the politics forum. I only found 1 article and 1 video on realclearpolitics. In contrast, the news cycle brought up the Kahn and 2nd Amendment comments 24/7 and debated it for weeks.

Hypothisis: HRC supporters and MSM are avoiding the statement because there's way too much truth in it.

I'm not saying you can't find the story, I'm saying the MSM isn't pushing it like the other statements. They created a story about the other stuff by dominating the news cycle. This is actually newsworthy and it doesn't seem to be getting the buzz.

A poll of active duty and recently retired members of the armed services suggests that an overwhelming majority would prefer an armed overthrow of the government rather than see the election of either major party candidate. The poll was conducted by Quinnipiac University in the days following the Democratic convention.

When asked whom they would vote for during the 2016 campaign, 78% of service members picked “other.” Nearly all then chose “military coup” from a list of options that also included Joe Biden, Ted Cruz, Jill Stein and “a massive earthquake that wipes out life in North America.”

Thats pretty hilarious. Is it possible that him being where he is the world's most elaborate troll job? So many things about his campaign (or lack thereof) just don't make any sense.

Like 69 stated, I think he's just a completely different breed than we are used to seeing. He hasn't had to ever filter himself in his life and being a politician where everything one says is put under a microscope is a steep learning curve.

I do believe he's highly intelligent unlike some want to admit. And I also believe he knows exactly what he's done so far in this election in the fact he's kept himself in the media spotlight. However, there comes a time when such actions will backfire. Perhaps we've reached that point.

Spot on Grand, I still think there's time to win this election. I'm not near as cynical as some of these other posters who think Trump is a brainless moron, he is intelligent however unrefined when it comes to politics.

That window is rapidly closing. If he decides to go off on another Twitter rant and not focus on policy (or attacking Hillary) he's as good as gone. The media isn't going to do him any favors and he has to stick to policy and tone back the nonsense.

It's completely possible to be an intelligent business man and a complete moron. Same as having a 4.0 GPA in college, but lack the common sense it takes to function in society. I think this is where Trump lands. He's politically incompetent.
