2016 Election Thread Part Deux

This is, by far, the hardest that I have ever seen the Republican establishment fight, for or against anything. This is the biggest effort that the media has ever put into taking down a candidate.

No kidding and it's one of their own. They've never tried to defeat an opponent with this much determination before. This tells me all I need to know about the GOP.

If they only fought for smaller government as hard.

I think Priebus is a huge problem, btw. Not a leader. Certainly not conservative.

Priebus's job is to win elections. Trump is making that hard to do by him dragging down all the down ballot candidates. Trump had 90 days to launch a nationwide campaign and he has yet to have a campaign infrastructure set up in half of the battleground states.

I recall an article (or maybe a blog post) that hit the nail on the head firmly with Trump. He's the dog that caught the car. Now that he has it, he has no idea what to do with it.

It's an apt description of what he's done so far in the general election. The major question is whether he can catch the Hillary "car" as well.

Jesus Christ, I want this to be over already.

If we were all in a room together, we wouldn't be so hostile. I don't think anyone is happy about the major choices we have this election, so maybe we can use this as a chance to better ourselves and learn from our mistakes. I hope everyone can find peace and work towards truly bringing America to even greater heights.

I don't think I agree with this; I think it's pretty clear there are at least some that are quite happy with Trump and want him to win, and not just because he's not the Democrat candidate.

:eek:lol:

In 2020 the choices will be even worse. A statesman, a person actually qualified for and wanting the job will never run for it again.

You've got a lot of nerve trying to spread peace, harmony and goodwill around here. What your step, my friend.

I stopped reading here:

3. The Hillary Problem. Can we speak honestly, just among ourselves? And before we do, let me state, I actually like Hillary - a lot - and I think she has been given a bad rap she doesn’t deserve.

And it took choking back a bunch of puke to get that far.
