They have a machine that looks like a Zamboni in hockey now that lifts and cleans the rubber pellets. This almost 100 percent reduces the chances of MRSA.I hate turf! Have you watched games played on turf in the rain? The players get covered in specks of turf. It's gross. And there are health concerns of playing on turf long term.
We are built on speed, but we play on the same field as our opponent. A well done grass field is the way to go IMO.

MRSA is not my main concern. And there was game just last year that players were sliding around in the rain and were getting covered in the turf particles. I can't remember the game - seems like a Big 12 game like Texas Tech or Baylor.

I'm fairly traditional in all ways football, but that's one subject I definately changed my mind on. Field turf has come a LONG way. When I was a kid, I couldn't even stand watching a game on TV if it was played on turf. When UT changed back to grass, I was elated.
