Yeah I really think if the fact that we didn't have anybody drafted the last couple of years is keeping you from coming to Tennessee, then you never really had any interest in going to TN in the first place. Doesn't take a lot of thought to understand that things have been changing around here the last few years and that fun tidbit opposing coaches like to use won't stand a year from now.

Agree. If that's keeping you from coming to Tennessee given all the other factors at play, one has to think there's something else that driving your recruitment away from Tennessee. The one exception to me is a top flight WR right now....can't fault them at all for going elsewhere right now.

Naw already had two camps in area and apparently that is part of reason we aren't going to this one. Seen everyone we needed to see. My only issue is allowing a door open for other competition to brown nose a key connection.

I wonder if there is some animosity regarding what seems to the public eye to be some UGA pushing like with Wray and Stevens away from us. De1 has never been shy on this board to bash Mahoney, Z and criticize some Martinez techniques

Hmm, interesting thought. So maybe NPA is pushing those positions away from UT because they don't feel "their players" will get taught correctly at UT; therefore, it may end up reflecting poorly on NPA. Sure seems that something along those lines is going on. Also, I've noticed de1 hasn't been around and posted in quite some time.

The defense should stay on the field and always be prepared to prevent a first down. But I would sure rather force the other team to call a timeout or their ST try to get the first down rather than their offense come back out. And calling a timeout gives them extra time to draw up a play. It was a Dooley type call from Jones, and a game I hope he learned a lot from moving forward.

What bugged me was he did it MULTIPLE times allowing McElwain time to pick a play and prep his offense.

Last part is ok by me.

I've not tuned in on the satellite camp talk yet but will now. Yeah, it's strange we aren't going to a camp in our back yard but it is the middle of July. Camp is two- three weeks away. It's time to focus on team 120 and go win a championship. Not travel around the country "recruiting" on the same field as 100 other coaches. Get the recruits on your campus.

Didn't we just host a middle Tennessee camp a few weeks ago?

And if they didn't convert on the 4th down, then the TO would have been a Saban type call.

We could have had several go to the draft but they came back for a championship....

I'm proud of you young feller. :)
There is a Poor Posivol trapped in there trying to get out.
Let it loose CatBone. A VFL PosiVol cannot be contained forever. Let it flow. Feel the power. :hi:

Well known fact PosiVols are up to their eyeballs in fine VFL ladies. :salute:

Overreact much? Sorry, but I seem to be redundant.

3 of those 6 were three stars. Calm down, if you can, and let's chill with the hyperbole. We will be fine.

No overreaction. And I dont get what their star rating has to do with their impact at UT.

Team 120 is the best team Butch might ever field. If he fails to win an SEC title with this cast, he never will.

2016 is the best chance we've had as a program to get back to where we were in the 90s. A perennial contender. If Butch fails I doubt we get back there anytime soon.

1st- they are not once in generational talents.

2nd- you do realize how low the Dobbs, Sutton, and JRM class was rated don't you?

RECRUITING RANKINGS BY PEOPLE WHO AREN'T COACHES ARE STUPID

That's all

I'm talking production/impact not star rating.

Dobbs will be a top 3 QB in program history by the end of this year in most statistical categories. Hurd will likely be the all-time rushing leader. Barnett the #2 all-time sacks leader. Sutton might be the best pure CB in program history.

These guys will be among the best players in program history.

That's what I mean by generational talents.

Idea that "if we CBJ doesn't win this year then he never will" is so dumb. Absolutes like that are how emotional teenage girls react. We could not win big this year but then win big in the future. Completely legit possibility. There are way too many miniscual butterfly effect events that must go right to win it all. We graduate some great players (not generational, lmao) but we have great talent stockpiled. And the players in waiting are players that were all recruited according to the recruiting profile CBJ and the Bobs put together.

I think yall will be surprised by how great the players we lose in 2016 ultimately are.

They're pro bowl NFL talents. Especially Sutton, Hurd, and Dobbs.

And he seems to have lost his chubby for Byrd. Was calling him a perfect mix of Dez Bryant and Sean Taylor last year. :w00t: And his schtick is slipping with the "Barnett generational talent" mention...just a day ago referred to him as a short, high motor, unathletic chubwad.

Barnett = generational player at UT

He's gonna finish top 2 all-time in sacks in school history in just 3 season.

However, his upside to the NFL is limited. That's all I've ever said. I think Derek will have a NFL career similar to former UGA DE Charles Johnson who has played for the Panthers the last 9 years.

He'll have a couple of 10+ sack seasons. Maybe make a pro bowl. But he won't be a superstar at the next level or a perenial pro bowler.

Our perennial pro bowlers will be Sutton, Hurd, and Dobbs.

I sort of agree with you in that he's not the most athletic DE but he is absolutely relentless and that quality cant be underestimated in a DE.

Compare Barnett's athleticism to other DE's. Compare Sutton's athleticism to other CB's. Guess what, Barnett is just as athletic "for his position" as Sutton is "for his position" yet you say differently? They are both plenty athletic enough to be good but have other characteristics that make them great.

Barnett has an unlimited motor. Blows my mind how many tackles he made down the field. You think a safety is going to make a tackle and instead it's Barnett, 20 yards down the field. Did it at least twice in the Ga game
