Members of the controversial "black power" group the New Black Panther Party plan to pack legal heat when they hold rallies in Cleveland in conjunction with next week's Republican convention, the group's chairman said.

Leaders of the organization, which the Southern Poverty Law Center designates as a hate group, told Reuters that if Ohio's open-carry gun laws allow, its members will bring guns for self-defense. Cleveland police are preparing for mass demonstrations, and word that the New Black Panthers may be armed could complicate preparations.

"If it is an open state to carry, we will exercise our Second Amendment rights because there are other groups threatening to be there that are threatening to do harm to us," Hashim Nzinga, chairman of the New Black Panther Party, told Reuters.

The six pointed star is used elsewhere - like badges. Notice how there's more room to print a message in the middle of a six pointed star than a five pointed star (which isn't without religious symbolism). Stars catch the eye quicker than squares, circles, etc. People need to quit looking for things to complain about (like some fictitious religious connection) and go with the obvious - she actually is the most corrupt candidate ever - possibly the most corrupt politician ever, but there's a lot of real competition in that bracket.

I agree with him. My thoughts on open carry have not changed and a political convention, protest, rally or other such venue is certainly not the place for them at all.

Were you trying to turn that into something political?

Because a Hillary adviser is being portrayed as having a large nose. Completely ignoring the obvious fact that Hillary, and her campaign members, often lie and it's a a reference to Pinocchio. But obviously you are so simple minded you accept the explanation it has to be bigoted because, well, it is.

You do realize that nobody even thought about the whole Star of David thing before Hillary's campaign brought it up, right? And you fell for it hook, line and sinker. Because, again, you are desperate for anything anti-Trump so you can see Hillary elected.

I'm not even sure Newt would be a good choice, IMO.

Of course, being Trump there is that wild card factor of an unknown being swept in for major media coverage.
