Some time you say stuff that actually is perfect. I agree 100%.This is what's being used against us
That will soon change.

Hopefully the guys making the decisions to stay or go do so as early as possible. Then the staff can point to draft projections to maybe help recruiting closer to NSD. Hurd and Kamara especially. Sooner those guys declare, if going, the better. I think RBs are paying attention there.

Barring injury, both should go and not think twice, IMO.

RBs are not valued as high as what they once were and can only take so much of a pounding. It's important for them to go and make as much money as they can and be successful as long as their bodies will let them.

IDT our top RB prospects think there is a high probability of Hurd and Kamara staying. We're just competing with other ranked programs for a small group of elite players. Some schools manage to build a stable of elite backs. UT hasn't really been able to do that. I thought we should have taken another RB last year. We're incredibly fortunate that Hurd hasn't been injured. Knock wood.

For anyone who has blocked the Higgins thread....OV posted some very interesting info on a handler being involved and a request for payment from UT being made.

I happen to be one who believe money exchanges hands for many recruits at all big time schools. OV isn't usually wrong.

Payment from UT?

I have not heard this from anyone. Think Tee played a bunch of people for dramatic effect. It worked because everyone freaked out.

I hope for his sake this is not true.

Orange Venom confirmed he's heard it and that UT has contacted the 'AA.

Everybody should block the Higgins thread-- and Hunter Johnson's, too. The defectors are getting more attention than our recruits and our legit prospects.

:lolabove: As a true freshman, he was blowing up the OT from Iowa that was a top 5 pick. It takes 2 and 3 guys to block him, and you think he will be a NFL bust? You've said plenty of stupid stuff on here, but this might be the dumbest thing you've posted. Smh

Never said bust. Just that he would go lower in the draft than most expect. A lot of people are under the impression he'll go early in the first round and all I'm saying is that is misguided.

I compare Barnett to former Georgia DE and current Carolina Panther Charles Johnson. He's had a nice NFL career. Multiple 10+ sack seasons and a near pro bowl caliber player.

Derek will have a very good NFL career. He just doesn't have the ceiling of guys like Hurd, Sutton, and Dobbs.

The 0 draft picks go hand-in-hand with the blown leads last year. Other coaches are telling recruits that CBJ is a bad coach who chokes away big leads in big games and hurts players' chances at an NFL career. Once the seeds of doubt are sown, they're hard to overcome. I think we're seeing a lot of that right now. Players like UT and CBJ, but those nagging doubts will be there until we win some big games.

I love Dobbs and think he will be great for us this year.[n] But I do not think he's an NFL player. Like, at all.[/b]

But you are right that this roster has lots of NFL talent. A number of players will have lengthy NFL careers.

Well prepare to be shocked. Dobbs will not only play in the NFL but he'll be a STAR.

My NFL comparison for him is a 6'3" Russell Wilson.

I have met Dobbs and he's a great person, very well spoken, polite, great representative of the university of Tennessee. IMO, Dobbs is not a NFL QB. He's not even a great college QB yet and d4h says he's a top 5 pick.... unbelievable. He has a chance to make himself great, but from everything I've seen in the past few years and from what I've seen of NFL QBs, Dobbs doesn't appear to be a future hof in the NFL. Pump the brakes d4h, your putting a lot of unnecessary expectations on dobbs for some of Tennessee's crazy fans to ***** about if he doesn't play like the top pick in the draft. I hope he does, but just don't see it.

That's because you're not as smart as I am. Don't worry. Just rely on what I say. I'll help you see the light.
