It was the staffs responsibility to ensure recruits and their families understood their jobs were never even remotely in jeopardy over this lawsuit. It was about getting paid, nothing more. If other schools coaches got recruits to believe otherwise, our staff should have done a better job.

These are more important to recruits and always have been.

It played to the families. The ones that made themselves available to FACTS, were open to honest recruiting. We probably lost a few opportunities.

Reading through last night's posts was a tough read. I was thinking this thread lost it's backbone completely.

Then I realized it was only about three or four posters driving the narrative. When folks say "VN did this" or "VN always says that," I try to remind myself that it's just subsets of a larger fan base they are talking about.

Thank goodness the coaches and players don't fold so easily.

My question: Now with the settlement of the lawsuit complete. Are there any other angles that need to be shored up? Does the AD see a change in leadership? Does Butch need a formal backing of the University in terms of an extension to show he's not going anywhere? Etc?

So, I'm thankful I didn't read VN much for a couple days after the Tee Higgins fiasco. Who's next on the WR board? I'm sure Holloman is one; who else?

A vote of confidence is anything but. It's what coaches on their last legs get. And rest assured rival coaches would use that. :). Best course? Let the man take the talented bunch he recruited onto the field and get out of the way. :gone:
