A lot of the top TN talent are similar players. A bunch of 6'2" 190 lb athletes. We took plenty of those guys last cycle. Get Smith, Gibbs, and some solid ou of state talent and we're fine. Personally don't care about landing in state guys as long as we're landing talent.

Having similar measurables doesn't mean similar skill.

Admittedly I am salty and looking through orange tinted glasses. But, has anyone else noticed a tone in Clemson's efforts that is...can't even find the words? "Reprehensible" comes to mind. The billboard in Nashville, the flips and the clowning after the fact, and then the perceived intentional school-sponsored, recruiting-sponsored deception during the process (and I'm sure there are more examples that I'm not accounting for) just seems to point toward a smug tone at Clemson. "Smug" is not even the right word. And yes, I feel ILT was either TH or AR trolling VolNation. Did Butch and company do or say something to draw the ire of Dabo and company? Or, is that just how Dabo roles and attacks the threats? If Dabo is orchestrating this, or is in the least encouraging these young men in their efforts to humiliate Tennessee, then...karma happens. If my inclination is accurate, then God help Clemson. This type of behavior tarnishes reputations and could overshadow any previous success while jeopardizing any future success.

I get that this is recruiting, all's fair, but all in all this casts a light on Clemson's program. Respect, from my perspective, will not be shown to them moving forward.

Can't help but feel like today feels like a Sunday after recent Florida losses. Really want to give Tee the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't complacent in this effort to mislead his home town fan base.

My efforts here to come to terms with my disappointment today isn't helping either.

Time to get off the board and attempt to enjoy my 4th. May Butch and staff take this set back and have it fuel the team's aspirations for a BIG Orange season.

Dabo is a bammer.

They win it?

Even if they had would be an outlier.

Plus Bob Stoops is an upper echelon coach.

I understand what you are saying but getting to the championship game has to mean something

Clemson only top 10 once in last 3 years and OU actually top 15 none of last 3 years. Same as Oregon

Now it could be said that winning in the sec requires top 10 classes year in and year out I guess

Apparently winning a NC does too.

Again, Bob Stoops is a fantastic coach.

Lol. Hoping for top 15? Really?

People too emotional today. Win 10+ and we sign a top 10 class at minimum.

Taking a break. See you guys in August. Go Vols.

Good idea. The next two months are going to be filled with fretting over recruiting, arguing about whether we're going 10-2 or 12-0, and declaring the sky=falling when a couple guys go down in fall camp or we get a report that isn't 100 percent sunshine on Richmond at LT/Tuttle's rehab.

Watch out for the black helicopters while enjoying the 4th :lolabove::lolabove::lolabove:

Disagree on stoops.
Last year he revived his career alittle.
He's faded a lot the last 5-7 years

The previous five years that he won 2 conference titles and 2 BCS bowls? Push it to 7 and you have 3 titles.

If that is fading than he absolutely is a fantastic coach.

He's been good for at least one terrible loss every year including last year

Big loss bob has been the shoe that fits

Terrible league as well since the Texas fall

9 conference championships
1 National Championship

Aside from Meyer and Saban there isn't a coach the last twenty years that wouldn't take that resume.

Butch hung his hat on legacy recruits now we are seeing long time Vol fans who idolized UT start to go elsewhere.

Started with Mecole last year.
Hunter Johnson
Now Tee and Trevor Lawrence will be next.

The only big win he has had in recruiting is Kongbo and by all accounts the players won that battle. I do not count legacy recruits who would have been here anyway.

Roast away but the truth is right there.
