I don't blame Oliver since 90% of his listeners are Georgia fans, but the amount of Eason slobbing going on Atlanta radio is crazy.

Dude will get crushed just like every true freshman does in the SEC.

I guess I get annoyed when he trumpets all of his affiliates all over the South...then goes right back to the UGA slopbucket.

I've been in this crowd for a couple years now. But it isn't because I think we can't beat UF or have the talent to beat them. Last year we had the talent to beat them. We should have beat them. And you can ask my friends I was all about that and knew we would beat them. But we lost. Talent? Not the answer. We lost in some weird fluke way. This is why I am in this crowd and I am sure others (not all) are in it as well. Do I think this team can beat UF and Bama this year? Yep. 100%. Do I think we should beat them? Yep (not so much Bama as I do UF). But, will we is another answer. I think we will, but I do not believe it.

I hear you, but I think that's a fine line. I really do expect to beat Florida this year and nothing about the streak or anything else makes me doubt I'll see it. (Now, we could lose - they are talented, etc. and I'm not a nut job that is going to jump on here and suggest we fire everyone in the university system if we do). But I don't have to see it to believe it. I've seen it before. We had some great unexpected wins over them in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and I have no qualms believing we will again.

Some compare our series with Florida to our series with Kentucky (except the roles are reversed). I don't see it that way. We almost always are light years ahead of Kentucky in talent. On average, Florida is usually more talented than us but outside of that stretch from say 2007 - 2013 it was never by very much. They have just caught more breaks than we have in the series. That tide will turn at some point, in my view.

By pure recruiting class strength, FL was still better than us last year. I'd say this is the first year where we are at parity or better, although admittedly I haven't seen the numbers. Even so, it took a fluke play late for them to win at home. We're stronger now, we get them here, and Shoop don't play 4th and 14. It will be an emotional day, but I like our chances.

Recruiting strength can only go so far, but I do agree. We have the horses. We have the pawns. This year is the best year yet that we have to win the UF game.

A very fine line at that. One thing is for certain though and it is that we both will be hilarious lunatics when it happens. It is going to be one sweet day.

I just quoted this to agree with you about Chuck Oliver. He has an "SEC" or maybe a "college football" national show is the one of the biggest Georgia homers I have ever heard. I cannot stand to listen to him at all, anymore.

Chuck oliver played football at Auburn. His bias toward Ga is because vast majority of his radio audience are dawg lovers.

When we beat FL this year... I just don't know what I'll do

Cool man! When it gets closer we will have to plan on getting a beer. Some of the other VN guys as well

I haven't been to a UT vs Fla game in person, have always worked or last 2 years I gig playing music, I may have to make a exception this year!

I honestly don't care why. I just can't stand listening to him. How it gets syndicated nationally is beyond me. I do appreciate the information.

You'll know it's me streaking. Not because I'm a cat, but because I'll have a single rain cloud hovering over my head the whole time :)

Also, you'll be the only UT fan who drops trou and shows everyone his UGA undies.

I kid.

Lmao still trying to wrap my head around the ree ree's that think I'm a UGA fan. I've only said a million times I live and grew up with UGA fans.

10-2 with losses to UF and Bama would feel very hollow to me. It would be 2015 redux with the only differences being an easier P5 OOC opponent and finally beating our rotating West opponent.

You never like losses against those two schools. But if we still make the SECCG? I will take it. Even if we lose those two, it won't be by much. If we beat Bama or LSU in the SECCG, then we most likely make the playoff.

You can't take 10 win seasons for granted anymore. Maybe in 2004. Not now. This program was at its rock bottom- literally.
