Haven't seen any posts on 247 as to why, but Barton Simmons CB'd Akers to tOSU today. I would assume it has to do with him visiting for their Friday Night Lights event in July.

I think they had Coach Taylor come out and tell him that he could be the next Tim Riggins.

Anyone else find it hilarious that such a good RB exclusively plays QB?

I know lots of HS teams put their best athlete at QB, but I haven't seen much tape of a kid this highly rated at RB play nothing but QB.

I have been to a UF game there during day in 2013 and the LSU fans were yelling at each other because the stadium noise was underwhelming. Tailgating was fun but stadium was ok.

I think we have as good a shot as anybody, and I really see him coming here in the end. He likes the direction of our program, he has a good relationship with the coaches, and playing time is a big factor. Check, check, check.

I really hope I get to take my words to a butcher shop and prepare them for a nice steak dinner on NSD, but I just have zero belief that he is coming here. Feels like a longshot and that at the end of the day he is going to end up at tOSU along with Jones.

We will land Chandler though. Not a bad consolation prize.
