Why did you decide not to wait for the One S with the updated controller? Just curious.
Don't know if he has one but no point if you dont own a 4K TV.
Personally I thought it was dumb of MS to announce both the "S" and Scorpio at the same time. Why on earth would anyone want to buy the "S" model now when they can just wait it out a year and get the more powerful Scorpio? They're better off paying less money for a standard model if they want to game on Xbox right now.
Because they want a 4k player. Not everyone will be able/afford to buy the scorpio next year. Some people (myself included) just like to piss money away on electronics lol.
But in general, I agree with you Brave.

If X1 doesn't outsell PS4 for the month of June at these prices, I don't know if the X1 will EVER outsell it.
It won't ever. The 360 got a jump out of the gate on the PS3 releasing a year earlier/Sony charged an arm and a leg for the PS3/the PSN was in its infancy. Sony has a much broader base and eventually caught up. Only Nintendo could ever top them in sales, if they'd get their heads out of their asses.
I've been buying from both companies since '96 and '01, and if not for Xbox Live coming about 4 years earlier (with an Ethernet port and a hard drive) and establishing an online community for me, I'd probably be solidly in Sony's corner. I'm glad MS came about after Sega and gave Nintendo and Sony some competition. Hopefully Nintendo wakes up soon. I can't stand the idea of a console monopoly.
I actually wish Nintendo would become a publisher and put their games on PlayStation and Xbox.
If Nintendo went 3rd party, I'd be afraid of the vice grip by Sony and MS, to a lesser extent. It might be good as long as they didn't publish exclusively with their Japanese counterpart, which they'd likely do (like most other Japanese developers do). Sony would be the last man standing in that scenario, which I think would be harmful to console gaming.
It would help if Xbox had some kind of presence in Japan but man, they do NOT like it. And I don't think it has anything to do with national pride or anything. Apple products are wildly popular in Japan.
