2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Weld is the most well-spoken candidate I've seen this year. He is so smooth.

Unfortunately, even if by some miracle GJ did get in the debate I'm worried. He isn't the best at articulating his positions (especially the absolute BS heroin question) and it seemed like Weld "saved" him a few times tonight.

Sad to agree with this. Weld was more presidential.

Still, there was so much more sanity among this group than what we hear from the 2 parties it's nuts.

Easy choice for me. Enthusiastically behind this ticket compared to the alternatives

I think he's carried it to a whole new level, though.

2nd pic makes me want to go back and watch Night at the Roxbury again.

These clowns are putting me to sleep.

Sorry they were using big words and actually talking about issues instead of acting like a cartoon character.

It's cool, go back to fapping over the next bro moment your orange orangutan will have. His nice simple words and phrases should make you piss your pants with joy.

It's because these two men are talking issues and maintaining a respectable level of class.

You're wanting a borderline political reality show to entertain you like you get with the Republican and Democratic debates. This isn't a show that was going to talk about hand/penis sizes and or spouting off the most derogatory and immature names they can think of for other candidates. This is for adults and for voting information and knowledge, not for your nightly entertainment.

There was a time in this country when people like Eisenhower, Taft, Truman, and Stevenson were engaged in similarly serious policy discussions in the same responsible manner as Johnson and Weld were doing tonight.

I enjoyed the conversation and the approach the two men took tonight. Keynesian economics is a failure, Wilsonian idealism in the conduct of our foreign policy is a disaster, and the government is responsive only to those who are willing to pay the required fee to further the corrupt self-interest of the cronies who are currently in charge of the massive and incompetent regulatory state.

We live in a new Gilded Age of bloated government and are in desperate need for a different direction. The only folks arguing for that with real legitimacy right now are Johnson and Weld.

If they can get to 15%, then we can have the kind of debate where an alternative to the disaster of trickle-down, nanny state government on offer from the candidates of both parties can actually be heard by the public.

The more HRC and Trump talk, the better chance Johnson has of reaching that number in advance of the initial debate. People are looking for an alternative. Most of the people who watched CNN tonight would have discovered a mature option to the idiocy on offer from the establishment parties this year.

Hasn't got a prayer..

At the potus? No. Not as long as people like you and lg vote based on the color of a tie and not on issues. But, if he happens get in the debates and it garners enough attention to get the ball rolling for a legit third party contender going forward. Then it's worth it.
