Would UF: Rather beat FSU than TN in '16

Look for Butch to run up the score this year on mcelwain to show who's boss now in the SEC east!

I hope Butch has learned to never let off the gas now. Too many times have I seen conservative play-calling because the game seemed to be won and it bit us in the ass. He showed some growth at the end of last year which is hopeful.

Always step your foot on the gas. You would never see Saban just run the clock out. Urban Meyer does not do it either. They pound you into submission until you are dead. That is what I want Butch to be.

Butch plays based off percentages and those percentages show that the team with the fewest turnovers normally win the game. He goes super conservative to avoid turnovers. That style of play won't change. Look at the games last year where we blew decent teams our, Vandy, UK, Northwestern. In each of those games we had a return or two adding to the high score along with the back ups scoring

This is a true statement.

It must be nice to have a quality in state rival. Our's are so inferior, we tend to play the spoiler. Ruin as many teams hopes and dreams as crushingly possible. Finally getting back on track.

After this year it won't be Ga.

Go Vols!

If your in-state rivals are inferior, by definition wouldn't they play the spoiler role when playing UT?

I wonder if like last year, those steroids will magically kick in with 10 minutes left in the game, after our QB plays like garbage for the first 50 minutes.

We need those special timed release steroids again. :)

Of course the issue could have just been avoided. Seems like not taking anything would be easier than your alluding to how it doesn't really count. You know, being the UF QB and all.
But I guess that's a crazy thought also.

You post makes no sense.

Are you suggesting I think Grier's suspension wasn't warranted?

I'm suggesting that you are implying his performance was in no way benefited.
Which can be debated.
But we wouldn't have to if your QB just doesn't take anything.

I didn't say anything about the suspension.

Gotcha...and you're right, we can debate the extent that steroids played in Grier's performance all day long.

I've never seen steroids kick in at the precise moment to enhance performance...a performance that was slightly below average until those steroids kicked in just at the right time.

Grier's performance was enhanced by UT allowing him to sit in the pocket on 5 consecutive 4th down plays, including the game winner where WG got his clock cleaned by Barnett on the previous play.

Spying him didn't work on the previous four 4th down conversions, so why not try it again?

You are correct, our DC made a stupid call.
Still doesn't mean that if Wonder Boy hadn't taken twice his dose of Flintstone vitamins, maybe he's not feeling so froggy by the end of the 4th quarter. Maybe he's a little bit slower and someone gets to him.

Maybe he just sucked really bad before, and the entire beginning of the season was actually an improvement.

Maybe maybe maybe.

Maybe the rules are followed and there's no debate?
Still seems easier than you coming on here and trying to convince everyone that it didn't matter.
And please stop being so condescending with the "just the right time" stuff.
It just comes off as a cop out for him cheating not meaning anything.

But he didn't follow the rules, got suspended and deservedly so...so here we are debating it.

A roided up Grier still needed help from UT's coaching staff and a missed FG as time expired to become the latest cop out for some UT fans regarding the loss.

In reference to Eason scarying yall, he and Worley have about the same credentials. Just because GA fans claim he is the savior doesn't mean he will be.

Not sure about that.
Everyone I've seen on here damn well knows how bad our DC screwed up.
Still pisses many off that the game came down to every play, and someone was taking an extra advantage though.

But as I said, the fans wouldn't have a cop out if your boy just....

I hate florida!

Forget Florida. It's never been about Florida or Bama or Ga defiantly not Vandy( well maybe Vandy), it's always been about perfection. Neyland set such a high standard. It's can only be matched. Zero points scored by opponents in the regular season. You can't lose if they score Zero. That should be Shoop's expectation for every game, shutout.
Even the post season. Raise the bar.

Don't get me started.

Go Vols!
