'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

OSU recruiting is crazy right now. They just had a 4* RB flip to Pittsburgh and it sounds like he was basically recruited over. My buddy is an OSU fan and he sounded pretty confident about Akers.

Kids only remember what they've seen last. 5 first rounders will do that.

Per Hubbs

The top two targets at running back continue to be Akers and Chandler but it's obvious by who else will be in town this weekend that the Vols aren't cornering themselves into a tight spot with guys like Williams and Coleman coming in.

Bartow did a CB for Akers to OSU today, might be why they let the 4 star RB go to Pitt.

Sounds bout right. He's the type of back that they tend too get.

"Just caught up with Akers, had a lot of positives to say about the experience today. Will work up a story in a bit but here are the highlights:

First off he said he hasn't cut things down yet. He said he plans on probably cutting things down to as few as four schools in August.

He was asked about the Tennessee's chances of making that final cut but he didn't want to give anything way regarding who might have a spot. However, he came back a couple of minutes later and said that he would likely be back in Knoxville in the fall for his official visit. Obviously, that makes it sound like Tennessee is firmly on his short list.

He has recently been to Florida State, said he was going to Ole Miss camp this week and after that had no further visits planned for the remainder of the summer.

Just speculating here but seems like the Vols are in this one deep though it's certainly setting up to be a dog fight."

Ha, mystery solved... Who wins in a dog fight? The top dog....obviously Tennessee. The other schools have no dog associations whatsoever

I don't like the fact he was tweeting out about FSU today. I really want to land this kid but i think he goes elsewhere.
