Clay Travis Live Derek Dooley Interview Thread

Travis says something "last question" and my husband starts a recipricating(sp) saw taking up a floor board that completely drowns out both of them.

Clay was on Sports180 and seemed to mention that DD might be interested in becoming a HC again and this is the sports equivalent to an Oprah interview...at least according to Clay's ego

OK, are there any colleges in the middle east thinking of starting a football program? Let him go over there, and take Clay with him to be his press agent. I mean seriously, how many freakin shades of stupid is this?

Is there an AD in the states who could consider Dooley as a HC? Why? Dooley would screw up the fortunes of a do-nut franchise that only locates shops next to police stations.

How has Dallas done since he got there? The only improvement I have seen is in the O-Line, and we know damn well DD didn't have much to do with that.

If this was the only show on TV tonight, this would be the perfect night for the triumphant return of Honey Boo Boo.

Clay Travis needs to get his doctor to write him a new prescription or two. His delusions of greatness has officially gotten out of control.

For the life of me I can't understand the interest in listening to a loser of a coach recount his time destroying the program.

Meh, It's kinda like spending a lot of time on a website where you complain about the posters, what they do and how they think :dunno:

He actually was more candid about his screwups than I expected. People will predictably still act butt hurt, but it was as un-coachspeak an interview as you'll ever see from a coach.

I agree. But you shouldn't have wasted your time watching. Some people don't understand it.

Interesting... 3 pages in this thread before the interview and about 10 posts after start of interview, none of which said anything about what was said. I guess the interview met expectations. :)

I don't pretend not to be upset about what he did to the program and I definitely don't have any praise for him.
But if by "candid" you mean saying it was ultimately his fault then going in to detail of how by "his" he means someone else caused it, not him. I agree.

Because on my VN homepage it showed over 150 replies to this thread and I just couldn't figure out what the interest is. It would be like Bama fans today on the edge of their seats to hear a Mike Shula interview.

Mike Price / Dennis Franchione IMO
