Agreed. He's been a contributor, but production and intensity has not reached expectations
5 star WRs are supposed to be what they are from Day 1. Certain things like attacking the ball in jump ball situations aren't things you should wait on. Preston Williams for example already was attacking passes last year and he was hurt. Malone hasn't done it on a consistent basis yet. I want to see him at his size win downfield all year.
That drop in the end zone vs South Carolina was almost very costly. That was one of the best passes Dobbs threw all season and was right in his hands. :thud:

Having a true go to WR will drastically help this offense. It doesn't have to be the most talented guy in the group but as others have said someone with that alpha dog WR mentality. someone that is constantly thinking and acting like "That is my ball".

Robert Meachem wasn't playing like a 5* until his third year.
True, but rare exception. Prove us wrong Malone. Save my posts, bump them, and I will eat as much crow as you want to serve. My opinion, and that's not worth much, is that he does not have the mental edge and desire needed. People mentioned this way back in his high school career, and it's carried forward
Preston Williams and Josh Smith have it, and will go Boss Hog on folks this year
