Mean it. That era is a period that made my late twenties awful as far as football goes. He pissed away his time and the guy that said he was good a few posts above is laughable. He was beaten by Vanderbilt and a terrible KY team that played a backup wr at qb. We lost those two games because he played like balls. He helped tear our program down to the ground. You are entitled to your opinions and I am mine. You like him and I don't. My guess is those who like him are younger and those who don't are older. Either way let's go Butch and co.

Or they actually pay attention to his stats and understand the cluster **** of a head coach he was under. You're right, we have a right to our opinions, but don't try and justify your argument because you are "older" when you are in your damn 30's lol.

I didn't ever say I liked him. You drew that conclusion. But saying he wasn't good is ignorant. I saw where someone above posted he is a good leader. I'm not really on board with that. I just think you have some anger issues you may need to work out. Just my opinion, which I'm entitled to.

By the way, I've been a diehard Vol fan since 1985. Long enough to know Bray can't be solely blamed for any of the losses UT took during his time there. If you couldn't see all the other problems, that's on you.

Ky was all his. I can safely blame him for that one. Dooley can't be blamed for that one. Defense was good but Bray couldn't hit a barn if it was broad side.

Stats mean good? I think Coker was better at bammer but his stats say that he was not as good a Bray. Id take him over TB.

I can justify any way I want. Bray was trash. It was gas poured on to a fire. Dooley was the gas that allowed Bray to be even more an ass. Kid had no heart and took it for granted while he was here. He helped make us a joke and for that I don't like him.

Because he's not lol

You do you and hate all you want, but reality is that Bray was and is a pretty good QB and will more than likely take the starting job in KC within the next couple of years.

You dig the lols. Thats funny lol.

We had a good ol, we had a decent defense at times, but I do not believe that he was good. It's amazing that you cant stand that. You believe what you want and I will believe what I want. It's funny you cant let that happen. So funny I might lol.

If that's true, take him out and sit him on the bench. That part is definitely on Dooley.

His head hasn't been an issue in KC.......and really, how much of an issue was it while he was in Knoxville? He's second to Peyton in passing yards in a season and TDs in a season and would have been second in passing yards in a career if he had stayed another year. Seriously, the Bray hate is pretty over the top.

Mental toughness wasn't apparent to me.

Leadership wasn't either.

How many come from behind wins? Never beat any team of note.

What were you watching? Seems like revisionist history to me.

A lot more to QB than a big arm.

Bray reminds me of Tim Robbins' character Nuke LaLouche in Bull Durham (million dollar arm, 10 cent head)

I don't like being a grudge holder but, Bray tanked it against Kentucky to avoid going to a "crappy" bowl game while he was here. He can eat **** as far as I'm concerned! Not a VFL!

That is easy for us to say as fans. I was dissappointed to hear about that also but I can put myself in his shoes. He probably feels that coming to Tennessee was a mistake for him. He had the worst coach in UT history, didn't learn squat about playing QB, and had no help on the other side of the ball. I see how you can feel that way but I can see developing a bad attitude if a grade A jackass like Dooley is behind the wheel.

Bray over Murray doesn't surprise me. Bray had so much talent and had he had a decent defense and a coach could have been considered an ATG in the SEC ranks.

I hope he is squared away and takes advantage of the opportunity he has in front of him.

I have similar thoughts about Bray whenever I'm reminded of how much of a tool he was while at UT. He needed somebody like Cutcliff to straighten him out.

Seems like Bray has grown up considerably... he might even have tattoo regret. I recon that he don't do the Loco celebration after throwing TDs anymore either. I bet that he owns a Sea-Doo though.

Bray will never be a starting QB in the NFL.

I think some of the injury's were bs just to find room on the team with them having 4 QB's they wanted to keep Bray but I think Andy Ried was just giving him time to mature and learn the game from a mental and physical point . He has always had natural ability. He was just a late bloomer that was thrown in to early at UT he should have been red shirted but any way it looks like its all starting to work out

He would have been ineligible that last year...took money.

Bray can make the throws; he just has to make good decisions. As others have said, Reid clearly likes him or he would have been cut, with his injuries, a year or two ago. His opportunity is NOW. At the least he's got to show that he can be a competent or better backup this year--not next year. What's surprising about the Chiefs and Bray is that they run a west coast offense with Smith, who is pretty mobile. Bray isn't very mobile but can wing it. The time...is now.

Bray will never be a starting QB in the NFL.

Can't say I would agree with this. Bray has been working hard and Alex Smith is too safe at spots. Andy may start bray some this year just to open up firing long and making more playmaking into the system
