2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Listening to Paul Ryan, why does he keep talking about abortion? Is that really what the GOP is going to be about in 2016?

I think he was just reiterating his "core principles" talk. You and I both know that Trump is more than likely pro choice, but he can't say that as the GOP nominee. That's why Trump never really discusses his view on abortion and usually tries to dodge the question.

Han Solo gets it

He's voting for John Cusack's character from Say Anything?

No, just the last year or so. It took a while for the Dem's mortgage meltdown to kick in.

That's a complete misrepresentation of the facts and you know it. See Better Markets .Org web site for the truth about bush's eco collapse. Actually the site should be named fairer markets.

Some of you guys are almost ridiculous enough to have tumblr accounts. Somehow another posting blatantly attacking me (as opposed to my argument) means I can't handle people disagreeing with me and that I'm a liberal who needs a safe place?

Seems like you guys have things a bit backwards. I bring a perspective that you don't agree with, therefore you result to personal attacks. Perhaps it's the three of you who can't handle others disagreeing with you and need your own safe places?

Post of the year!

Clint Eastwood is entertaining. That is all.

The problem I have with Clint Eastwood is really more about those who give him a forum. They think he's one of his movie characters and is going to go all Dirty Harry on someone. His whole talking to an empty chair bit was ridiculous and it was acting, he would never talk to Obama like that in person because Obama would kick his old a$$. Celebrities need to voice their opinion but just because they're rich and make good movies doesn't make them right.

Well said.

This happens to me quite frequently, as well. Guys call other posters idiots (or worse), constantly make hateful remarks about certain groups of people, and then they get their underwear all in a wad when you call them out on it, accusing you of being the arrogant and hateful one. They either are devoid of all self-awareness, or they just don't care.

And that's why the thinking - whatever it may be - that produces this bizarre phenomenon has a very special name here: "VolNation logic."

I've seen him throw a baseball, Obama isn't kicking anyone's ass.

I've said before: she should be the GOP frontrunner.

I agree. I don't understand why today's garden variety Republicans despise her so much. Other than some of her stances on social values (which she's reversed herself on from the past) and some of her pandering to racial minorities (which Republicans typically never even bother with), she's pretty much a Republican establishment figure. Although they're currently losing a lot of their former power in the party, trying to determine the difference between her and the Neocons is like trying to mark a slight distinction between two identical twins. This, not coincidentally, explains why so many of them have already said they will be voting for her over Trump, the old school labor Democrat (a figure that we thought had nearly vanished off the face of the Earth, and, now, suddenly, when such a figure reappears, we think he's a Republican).

Liberal logic:

Future ex father in law- I'm voting for Hillary because republicans hate her more than they do Obama. I love to piss of republicans.

This is the most common logic I have seen expressed from her supporters. They are ****ing idiots....
