2016 Election Thread Part Deux

It helps a country to have borders, a common language, a common culture, a set of laws to be obeyed.....kind of like Japan, etc. Without those, you really don't have a country, just a bunch of individuals pulling in different directions. Maybe that is what you want. Me, me, me......screw the country.

But America has been a country made up of people with unshared language and culture for 120+ years. How did we become a great country in spite of that? I contend that it's what made us great.

When's the last time he pulled the lever for a Republican potus? Never? Not a conservative if you vote for libs every 4 years. Pretty simple concept. Not trying to argue, waste of time.

Many Ds "speak" of being conservative on the budget, they just do not know what that means......

No, they don't. Many will say they like fiscal responsibility. There is no way they will say they are fiscally conservative. They don't equate fiscal conservatism with fiscal responsibility because they hate conservatives and also observe that in reality conservatives are a joke when it comes to budgets.

It DID make us great when many of the immigrants chose to assimilate into our communities/culture instead of complaining about how they are not being catered to. Now, there's way too much whining and complaining from many of those that choose to come here.

The concern back then was that they wouldn't assimilate and they did. There is no convincing evidence that immigrants today won't assimilate. The children of illegal immigrants learn and speak English. They go to college. They have a high employment rate. What more do you want them to do?

I guess that other countries should be lining up to pay them to come to their country instead.

Some countries are lining up to accept immigrants, actually. Canada is the only one that makes geographic sense for Mexicans and Central Americans. They have streamlined the immigration process. There is more opportunity here and people want to move where they have relatives. Their relatives are here.

Greece is begging for immigrant workers. Germany needed them too, which is part of why they allowed so many Syrians in.

I don't know where you get your figures, or whether they are right or wrong, but people who are younger than 55 will get to be 55 unless they die first. Age changes viewpoints. There will always be plenty of over 55 year olds.

This year there will be 2.3 million less GOP voters this year because they are dead.
Democrats will be +400,000

The Palin factor in anywhere other than mouthbreather backwoods: She comes out for you, you drop ten points. And vice versa.

When McCain picked her I thought she was a good person and agood governor. But after the election I actually did research into her and how much of a fool and idiot she was during the election. The woman sold what ever values she had and became the redneck Kim Kardashian.

LG and Carlos think that they can shame us into not supporting Trump or Palin by telling us that they are dumb, therefore we are dumb mouth breathers to support them. If we are as stupid as they think we are, why do they think that we would have enough sense to take their advice? Either way, they are wasting their time.
