The failure of the GOP to deal with the changing demographics of the country were summarized nicely in this book:

Trump is the one who started this fiasco, and you damn well know it. His whole platform and strategy has been to appeal to white male racial resentments.

Trump hasn't thrown fuel on the Ferguson/Baltimore riots like someone else either, has he? cough-uh-cough.

When you say changing demographics are you implying that there is a growing population of sorry beggars with their hand out? Or that the Femocrat message of division and keeping certain races dependent has worked?

The reason she cannot shake Bernie is because she, unlike Trump, has been running in the general election since the very beginning.
She is toast. She will lose in November if she is still alive and running. People do not want another 4 years of the same crap. The economy will be the issue.

I agree the economy will be a huge issue. But Trump's problem will be that over the course of the next 6 months he will not be able to get away with "The economy is going to be so great, it will be incredible, trust me."

He is going to be confronted with the question of "How?" and since his answer won't be limited to 30 seconds because there aren't ten people on stage, he's finally going to have to answer.

And he doesn't have one.

Nice to see this bullsh## line is still being thrown around. That's apparently been the RNC motto for about 25 years now.

Of course it is, because they are the exact same. Dems, Republicans, doesn't matter. It's now a pissing contest of "yeah but your person did worse" all while trying to convince everyone their candidate isn't as bad as the other.

It's so hilarious to watch.
The BIG difference in THIS election is that HiLIARy is truly evil. But OK, I'll back off on the original "bull****" statement. This election is a referendum against true evil. THIS election DOES matter in that there is a difference in the two candidates. The presumptive "republican" nominee isn't getting the support of the party that he supposedly represents. In your mind, that should be a good thing because he is bringing those same worthless, no-different-than-the-other-guys to their proverbial knees. So which is it? Do you want the same old establishment democrat party, or the newly imploded republican party. The former gets you more of the same crap. The latter gives you a chance. You know, real "hope and change" not just a slogan from a community organizer that had never run any business in his life.

I have to laugh at the GOP shriekers whining that the Dem delegate process is rigged, when Trump has used that very word to describe the GOP process, and in fact called it a fraud and corrupt.

But Trump isn't an old black man from FlorississpiJersey. (like the other candidate) If he did it, it would be racist.

Not a Hillary supporter. And I'm not whipping out the race card. I'm presenting evidence

Your anti-Trump bias is seething in practically every post you make. I have no love for him, but people like you will continue bashing him until President Hillary is a reality.

He won the nomination, or soon will, much to my dismay. However, he is the nominee and continually attacking him serves zero purpose.

I actually agree with LG and the GOP not keeping up with changing demographics. Conservatives are behind the times on public opinion because they are beholden to the baby boomers and the greatest generation. It has less to do with welfare (because they often vote for welfare) and more to do with marijuana, gay marriage, immigration, etc.

The funny thing is, the Republican party was ahead of the times in the 1980s in regards to immigration. Reagan wanted immigrants and granted amnesty. Not sure why that changed, but the party regressed.

As far as I'm concerned the GOP is dead. Literally dead. The party can't survive when 40-55% of the party is over the age of 55.

The problem with the gop is people like mitch mcconell and ted cruz. The gop controlled Tennessee GA is a laughing stock and an oligarchy controlled by the koch bros PAC americans for prosperity(for the few).

Never underestimate the stupidity of Americans.

They voted for the shrub twice so anything is possible. If the electorate has any sense at all it should vote the gop outta every office. That party is so drunk with power their fighting over who in the party is the most powerful.

Both parties have major issues. Don't point your finger at one party. Of course, you libs won't admit that.

They voted for Obama twice and have allowed Hill and Bernie to run away with their worthless party.

Anything is possible.

I don't know where you get your figures, or whether they are right or wrong, but people who are younger than 55 will get to be 55 unless they die first. Age changes viewpoints. There will always be plenty of over 55 year olds.

Reagan signed the bill with the provision that the border would be secured, and the problem would be fixed at that time.
