Again, the fact that he and Hillary will battle it out for the POTUS just proves how anti-politics-as-usual the people truly are. There better be some major party restructuring in the very near future or it'll just be worse the next go around.

I've given up on both parties. As far as I'm concerned the two parties are dumb and dumber.

Vote for the lesser evil then. Hillary let people die on her watch and should be in prison with the email scandal.

Until then you can either vote for the devil in a pantsuit or the guy that is only in the race to guarantee his friend and co-conspirator, the devil in a pantsuit, becomes president.

Or vote Libertarian and show the world you are not a brain dead buffoon.

It's definitely libertarian for me this year.

Ted Cruz dropped out, wow

A little late the party but.... :)

A Tough Call: Ted Cruz Announced He’s Suspending ... | ClickHole

"I believe that I could have served the American people admirably as president, but at the end of the day, my throbbing, glistening eggs come first,” a visibly emotional Cruz said at a press conference in St. Louis this morning. “I need to keep my eggs wet with Sprite soda, and that’s incredibly time-consuming. I cannot in good conscience continue my bid for the presidency when I know that twice every hour I need to go into my garage, where my thousands of throbbing eggs shimmer in the dim headlights of the minivan I keep idling at all times, and I need to moisten them with Sprite soda from a spray bottle. My eggs have got to be wet with Sprite soda. I’m sorry.”

If it has not become obvious that both major political parties do not want change and do not have the best interest of the average American in their hearts now to some people, it never will.

It never will. At least not in our lifetimes. There are so many resources to easily look at the attitudes and practices of politicians, and such a small minority of people ever use them. They're disconnected and self-serving, almost every single one on both sides. And no one cares. Whoever plays the most TV commercials wins, no matter how blatantly disingenuous and fraudulent they've proven themselves to be.

You do not know for a fact what Trump will do. I find it interesting that Trump won tennessee easily yet almost 100% of Volnation are cruz supporters

There is obviously a huge number of "closet" Trump supporters. I've lived in TN my entire life and many of my friends are conservatives. Whereas there was plenty of public support for McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012 on Facebook, I see virtually no public support for Trump on my feed...and yet he's cleaning up at the polls here and elsewhere.

People have been shamed into hiding their support for him, but more and more people are nodding their heads in agreement with the things he's saying. Whether or not he's going to actually put any of his ideas into place should he win remains to be seen, but he has certainly struck a chord with the public, even if they're afraid to admit it to their friends and family members.

This reminds me of when our small community had a wet/dry vote. From all the public statements and outward support to remain dry, it was fairly apparent that the vote to go wet would not pass. Well, it passed.

The next day I was in the local grocery store and overheard an interesting conversation. An elderly lady was talking to a younger couple that she had voted yes for the wet vote, but she would never be able to say to most of the people she knew, as her church members would basically disassociate themselves with her.

Obviously she was not the only one. The same issue may very well be going on with closet Trump supporters.

I did business with Wall Streeters. There are no lasting friendships between them and politicians - or even each other. There are only users looking out for #1. Trump is a streeter - the banks and hedge funds backed him in his businesses. He knows how to use politicians for his purposes. He has already dissected the Clintons for the general election just as he used them for what he wanted previously. He knows that Hillary/Bill are yesterday's news and has already started implementing his plan for the take down.

Our hope as citizens is that he does what he says he will do without all the garbage.

Trump likely to win West Virginia but lose delegates - POLITICO

Shall I continue? It's not cheating, but it may as well be.

Even still, you are woefully misinformed on this, and even though Trump won the race I'm not letting it slide. People need to know the truth. You just don't know what your talking about, and a large part of it is the media's fault for shaping your perception. No one can "lose" delegates won from the primary election. It's a false premise. If Trump won them they were always going to vote for Trump at least once each no matter what anyone said or did. What was happening was Cruz was smart enough to get delegates who liked him elected as delegates. Key word being ELECTED. Yes, a few were appointed, but the vast majority elected. Those elected and the few appointed delegates both were formally bound to vote for Donald Trump on the first ballot as promised based on each state's primary. Some of them for even longer. That's where their obligations end, however. After the first, or in some cases more, obligated vote if a winner is not established by achieving 1237 delegate votes it becomes necessary to allow delegates to change their votes. If they are not allowed to change their votes in such cases there would literally never be a winner. They'd just vote the same over and over and no one would ever come up with 1237, which is the minimum threshold for any person worthy of being chosen. That then also necessarily means that someone other than the frontrunner can wind up with the 1237. That's why Cruz worked so hard as any truly competent candidate would to get delegates elected he knew would be most likely to change a vote in later rounds in his favor. It's always been that way and it's not crooked, corrupt, or wrong in any way. As I've stated repeatedly it's a system that has given us several respected Presidents throughout history, and I will not sit idly by and watch Dorito Don trick otherwise normally decent people into believing it's rigged. Trust me, if it were rigged Dorito Don would not have even gotten close.

You couldn't be more wrong. Facts matter despite election results. We're not talking about mere campaign jabs. We're talking about purposely lying to cause people to lose confidence in legitimate institutions. This kind of garbage is what Obama thrived on and it has longer lasting consequences than the primary race. Oh, it matters alright.

Dude, the system is broken and whining about isn't going to fix it because no one is listening. You want to change it? Vote for a third party, I don't care which one.

You may be right but if the Republicans will unite the party, there may be enough people that despise Clinton to push Trump through. Regardless, my feeling about this entire cycle from both sides is "is this really the best that our country has to offer!?" Lord, help us all if so.

Agreed! Just wanted to add that I think many Bernie supporters will turncoat and vote for Trump in Nov. many have been interviewed as saying so, and most Bernie supporter have a common hate for Clinton. I could really see Trump doing well in the general.

I'm not the one whining. I'm addressing the whiners with actual facts. The system is not broken or rigged and I don't want to change it. The only change I want is a Constitutional conservative Republican Party and ultimately country. I don't believe for five seconds the answer is for an extra 25% of disgruntled Republicans to vote Libertarian or Reform Party and guarantee a Democrat one party rule forever. The real problem is not the system or the politicians. The real problem is us, the American people, and our dwindling ability to make sound judgments based on facts, history, virtue, and prudence.

I'll tell you who needs to vote third party. It's the Bernie supporters. Bernie needs to run third party. I'd tell him myself, but I don't mingle with communists. Run, Bernie, run!
