I told my dad that if this election cycle doesn't open the eyes of the Republican establishment AND the Democrat establishment, nothing will. Seriously, the Dems establishment candidate has a fight on her hands with a 70-something y/o socialist? Of course she will get the nomination for her party, but should it have been this kind of struggle against THAT kind of candidate?

Sadly I'm pretty damn sure Hillary will win in November. Too many people like inVOLuntary will not vote and leave the door wide open for liberals. Fun ride though.

You may be right but if the Republicans will unite the party, there may be enough people that despise Clinton to push Trump through. Regardless, my feeling about this entire cycle from both sides is "is this really the best that our country has to offer!?" Lord, help us all if so.

I don't know whether they planned it but it worked out perfectly for them. We have a choice between a wolf or a wolf in sheep's clothing.

What's funny is many support Trump because he's supposedly the anti-establishment candidate when he's merely the other side of a corrupt equation. Cruz on the other hand was ostracized by his own party. That should tell people all they need to know when it comes to the real anti-establishment candidate.

This. I can't believe trump won the GOP lol. America is screwed. This guy is worse than bush.

I understand that. Thing is, we know what we are getting with Hillary. I view Trump as a wildcard. He could be meh or he could be fantastic. At this point it's a risk I'm ready and willing to take. Enough of the status quo politicians.

Just remember one thing. A no vote is a win for Hillary.

The fact that he will win the GOP candidacy should be a darn major wake-up call for the establishment. The establishment's candidate was Rubio, and we all know what happened there. Bottom line: the people are pissed off.

It really makes no difference who you vote for, you get the same thing. If Trump wins one of his first things will be to appoint a SCOTUS justice. Wait till he appoints a centrist under the guise of uniting the country. A justice that change the balance of the highest court of our country. A court that will repeal the second amendment. A court that will do more harm than any President or Congress in the last 100 years. Just wait, it's gonna happen.

Trump IS a liberal. He's just saying whatever it takes to get the nomination, and people are too freaking stupid to go back and look at what he's said and done his whole life and compare it to what he's saying he will do now.

This. He cares nothing about the Constitution at all. He cares about his ego and his money, nothing else. All his decisions will revolve around those two things just like they have his whole life. How in the world so many self proclaimed conservatives (and worse, self proclaimed Christians) can back such an unconservative and unChristian person so passionately is downright baffling.

Actually the establishment candidate was Bush. He was just terrible at debating and was the republican version of al gore. I'm moderate and honestly I don't like Hillary or trump. Trump just seems like a guy that will burn it all down. Hillary, she just isn't trustworthy.

You do not know for a fact what Trump will do. I find it interesting that Trump won tennessee easily yet almost 100% of Volnation are cruz supporters

Good argument, back a guy whose history says he will have only his own interest in mind because MAYBE he will change and we don't know for sure what he'll do.

Nobody knows what Trump will do because he's a pathological liar. He doesn't even know what Trump will do. It will depend on which way the wind is blowing and whether it is blowing money into his wallet. He's performed the biggest con job in American political history. He laughs at how gullible Americans are.

Again, the fact that he and Hillary will battle it out for the POTUS just proves how anti-politics-as-usual the people truly are. There better be some major party restructuring in the very near future or it'll just be worse the next go around.
