Few people had Mark richt on the hot seat this time 12 months ago... facts are every SEC coach is on the hot seat...at least as hot as a guaranteed contract with multiple yr payouts allow....

Even Saban is a traffic stop away from it

It's Georgia that we need to worry about. They're better than Florida and their schedule sets up favorably. The game in Athens will determine the winner in the east.

We've beaten UGA in the last 11 years. Florida is who we should worry about since we haven't been able to beat them in the last 11 years.

What's the fascination with muschump? He couldn't win at fla, so why would he win at SC?

They're expecting him to make the defense better just because of who he is, which I don't get either. He had a lot more talent to work with at auburn and he might've made them a little better but nothing crazy.

fade route said:
It would be tainted and I wouldn't celebrate it.

I mean, how can you justify that though? If we lost a particular game I wouldn't celebrate our national championship because of it? That's comolete and utter bull****.

I don't know, maybe it is just me, but I thought fade route was just joking with his post...maybe should have been a blue font kinda thing. Don't think the really meant it.

They just releasedon't their projected bowl lineups...they have us against Baylor on new years day after losing to LSU in the sec champ game .

Playoffs lsu,Boise ,osu,oklahoma.
Lsu vs Ohio for nat.

I Shoop's quaote is anywhere near accurate in that no one will run on us....LSU will never beat us!

I like Fade but certainly disagree with his post. I hate losing to Florida as much as any human on this earth, but I'd be ecstatic with a 14-1 national championship season, even if the lone loss was to UF. But I'm not gonna call the man an idiot and a liar.

You'd have to be an complete moron to not celebrate an National Championship even we had one loss in the regular season against Florida. So you're saying Butch ain't good enough if he loses to Florida but still manages to get 10+ wins? I've heard it all now.

He has to be kidding, engaging in sarcasm, pulling legs, etc, etc.

If Team 120 goes 10-2 with a loss to UGA, the Vols likely will not win the SECE. IDK how hot Butch's chair will be, but negativity will surround the program and we'll feel the heat in recruiting.

I'd celebrate an NC no matter what, though.

Barett. Sallee. Of SDS predicts that candy wins 3 sec games this year including against you guys and goes bowling at 6 and 6. He thinks candy finishes ahead of UK and misery. I hope not. I would rather see you guys beat candy and south Carolina for that matter...and of course fla. Seems like you guys have been close with the gators. For The last few years. Time to beat them.

Yes it would seem that UK shares the Florida curse with Tennessee. It's taken a lot of effort for us to throw away the last two years against them. Hopefully this is the year we finally overachieve instead of just doing what we on average should be doing.

SEC Football Preview 2016: Early Conference Lookahead | College Football News

From his article he puts Butch on the "Hot Seat".

Top 5 SEC Coaches on the Hot Seat

Five SEC coaches who’d better win this season. Being on a hot seat doesn’t necessarily mean a coach is about to fired, but the pressure is on to produce up to expectations, and beyond.

1. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M
2. Mark Stoops, Kentucky
3. Gus Malzahn, Auburn
4. Les Miles, LSU
5. Butch Jones, Tennessee

I would put Vandy's coach on there before I would put Butch on there but what do I know?

Hot seat must be code for Butch gonna kick some azz in 2016.
