2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Celebrating Irish culture on SPD = celebrating Mexican culture on Cinco de Mayo. Nobody makes much of a fuss of Mexican flags everywhere on the 5th of May.

I don't know if people would start having a huge problem if a large amount of Irish Americans started waving the Irish flag all year and put it above the American flag and started demanding the national foods be changed to potatoes and Guinness, but my guess eventually the non-Irish would start getting at least annoyed.

Except I've seen a disturbing trend where certain celebrations are disparaged such as Black History Month, or Hispanic History Month. The common attack is "where's my white history month"...which totally ignores all the eurocentric months celebrated in the US.

lol the only idiots in American who use the term "Eurocentric" are the ones who've never seen how blatantly racist and completely false Afrocentrism is.

Their most amusing claims being that slave ships didn't exist because black people have lived in America for over three thousand years. That Egyptians were black people and all knowledge on earth comes from them, and that white people are still trying to reverse engineer the forgotten technology from Egypt.

Apparently a new NBC/WSJ poll has Trump up by 15 over Cruz in Indiana.

It's probably legit since you know NBC hates the both of them.

Is Cali winner take all? Last time I checked Trump had a big lead there. This race has been over.

It's apparently proportional. But being that Cruz is currently sliding, that doesn't mean he'll have a chance.

Just checked the RCP average. Trump up by 17 in Cali. It's over.

It's WTA by congressional district, which even further drives the nail in Lyin' Ted's coffin.

Freedom of expression is one of the most American ideas. You'll have to do better than that

You want so bad that this be about burning a flag. But it's not.

Only a moron would not tell me to go back to the U.S. if I were to go to Canada, burn their flags in some protest, and wave the U.S. flag.

You say it's not about burning flags, and then continue to ***** about burning flags. Wtf?

I know this is off topic but what is yall's opinion on Cruz picking Fiorina? Not that it's probably silly he did it in the first place with no clear path to victory but based on Fiorina's merit and what she brings to the table. She was a horrible CEO and layed off thousands of workers after her failed merger with Compaq and other decisions. She got destroyed in her senate run in California, and up and moved without paying her staff. I can't see the benefits to choosing her as it doesn't help at all with California and she really didn't have a following. Is it pandering to the conservative women's vote? Or just the "outsider" label?

Some interesting numbers from a new CNN poll:

Americans agree Clinton and Trump headed for a faceoff - CNNPolitics.com

According to a new CNN/ORC poll out Monday, 84% of voters nationwide think Donald Trump will lead the Republican ticket in November, while 85% say the same about Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

But the sense of inevitability hasn't boosted their support among their own parties. Each has the backing of about half of voters: Clinton is the choice of 51% of Democratic voters, while 49% of Republican voters say they would prefer Trump to be their nominee.

It's wide open (Trump v Clinton). Each is likely to torpedo their own chances. It's a trainwreck of epic proportions. One wins; a nation loses. We get what we deserve.

My secret bet is the Bill is the ultimate source of demise for Hillary. I think he resents her and can't help but sabotage her. Plenty of instances so far. His recent comments about the email investigation are just more fuel for the conspiracy fire.

Lol "the establishment's nightmare". What seperates him from the typical liberals the establishment runs?

At what point does the GOP stop their Anti-Trump rally and begin to see that the inevitable is coming and begin to back him? Is it after Indiana polls close?
Talk about eating crow....

Stumble, stumble Hillary...

Clinton confronted by laid-off coal worker at West Virginia campaign stop | Fox News

Clinton was attending a panel discussion with residents and Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin in Williamson, W. Va. when she was asked a question by Bo Copley, who told her he was a laid off worker in the coal industry.

“I just want to know how you can say you’re going to put a lot of coal miners out of, out of jobs, and then come in here and tell us how you’re going to be our friend, because those people out there don’t see you as a friend,” Copley said, sometimes breaking into tears, as the chants of the protesters were heard outside.

Clinton however said her comments in March were a “misstatement,” and that she has been talking about helping out coal country “for a very long time.”

“What I was saying is that the way things are going now, we will continue to lose jobs,” Clinton said Monday. “That’s what I meant to say, and I think that that seems to be supported by the facts. I didn’t mean that we were going to do it, what I said was, that is going to happen unless we take action to try to and help and prevent it.”

I'm not sure how your comments could have been a mistake...other than you now pandering to yet another crowd.

Luckily coal miners see right through her nonsense. And she's certainly not helping Joe Manchin in the process either.

Compared to the waffling Trump has done this means what? Politicians say stuff like this bc it's a part of the campaign process.
