Don't see Hurd being a 1st Rounder.. Very rare for a RB to go in the 1st Round anymore.

He could easily be the 1st RB taken. He may stay another year to get his degree and win the Heisman.

Jump higher Vols.

Edit. And Back to Back NC.

1st round: Dobbs, Hurd, Sutton, and Barnett

2nd round: Kamara, Malone

3rd round: JRM

Ethan Wolf and Justin Martin could also go in the 1st-2nd round if they decide to come out.

Just let it go. You're delusional if you think Dobbs is a first round pick

To continue to pump Dobbs as a first rounder is so astoundily stupid I wonder if you have so sort of mental tick concerning him.

NFL teams reached at RG3 who is a much better passer and demostrated it in college with his numbers which dwarf Dobbs stats.

If you think they are going to take another read option quarterback who throws screens and swing passes 75% of the time in the 1st round you're out of your ever lovin mind. :hi:

Your second paragraph is the most relevant point by far. No NFL team is going to take a QB that throws the majority of his passes in the flat and five yards past the line of scrimmage. I really would like to see a break down of Dobbs' passes though

I get your feelings towards D4H, but to say the idea of Dobbs going in the 1st Round is astoundingly stupid, that's not only out of line but incorrect. He would need a monster year and I've got no reservations in saying I expect a monster of a year from team #120.

Jump higher Vols.

I don't have feelings torward him. It's not out of line either. It goes far beyond wishing well for players representng your team and borders on sign me up at the looney bin nuts when you think a guy that hasn't had more than 4 completions over 40 yards is a first rounder.

Easily? Thats a huge stretch. I like Hurd but he is not a Chubb or Fournett type of talent.

When the Vols improve and he is on a NC team, his stock will rise due to being a critical part if the success I expect us to achieve.

Your right nothing of that magnitude is easy.

The prediction is based off what he will do this year, going into the draft, more than what he has already done.

If I'm wrong I will aplogize and also seek medical treatment because I must have become more stupid along the way somewhere and may be past due for a CAT scan.

I'd wager you a no posting ban for the following season as well.

Haha. Would be funny. We'd just end up with a new poster - Guarantano for Heisman.

and for the record, you're less sane than D4H. I have no feelings torwards you either. Just an observation.

No. I follow the draft closely. I've actually been more of a NFL can most of my life than college football fan.

I never heard the names Wentz and Lynch before this year. RG3 and Tannehill were likewise not major prospects before the 2011 season.

The idea of going from fringe draft prospect to high first rounder in a single year is not unheard of.

It literally happens EVERY year.
So you're an NFL can?

I find it absurd that for someone to think Dobbs could be drafted in the 1st round equates that to needing a CAT scan.

When he improves only half as much as he did last year he will win us a NC and a Heisman( unless Hurd snakes it).

It's just not that ridiculous.

by the by:

Tannehill threw for 3744 yards and 29 touchdowns his senior year.

RG3 threw for 4293 yards and 37 TD's.

Dobbs best full season stats - 2291 and 15 touch downs.

so yea if he adds 1500 yards this year minmum and another 20 touchdowns I guess he will go first round.

You guys should hold your breath.

PS: I like Dobbs great college QB, great leader, and a greta represenetive for the university.

For some reason, a few posters think that if we don't agree that Dobbs is a future first round pick, we must not like the guy. I love me some Josh Dobbs and the guy is one of the best advocates for the program and the university, but I just don't see him as a first round pick.

You fixed it, I couldn't get Elmer out of my head.
Your observation may have some merit.

No one is doubting your PS, it's the lack of willingness to admit that this is his breakout year. The others were a warmup to what he is about to accomplish.

He's not a Fournette type of talent, but no one is. He's easily the most pro ready RB in CFB. Hurd is just as good as Nick Chubb. Totally different backs, but more or less equal in talent IMO.
