Just looked at our defensive stats from last year. It is inexcusable the poor job our defensive coordinator did with this group.

Gave up 20 points a game
Gave up 362 yards a game
20 first downs a game
Only 1.6 turnovers a game
56% red zone touchdown given up

We had two senior safeties. Two studs at DB. Studs at LB. a very good DL. Unreal the garbage job the coaches did.

What really pissed me off was the three consecutive drives Vandy unleashed on us along with the way a dysfunctional South Carolina team drove on us. Forget at the way Grier picked us apart in a 8 minute span and our inability to get off the field in the 4th quarter against Oklahoma.

I am so happy to have Shoop. This guy alone is good for an additional two wins.

Agree with most of what you said. I just don't get why that matters. If you have bad safeties, it shouldn't matter whether they're seniors or not.

McNeil or Randolph won't be drafted. They were huge weaknesses for us last year.

Watching some games from last year and it's amazing that Kamara's ability to break tackles gets lost. People think he's super fast(he's a lot quicker than he is flat out fast) but he's better in the YAC yardage department.

McNeil and Randolph weren't game changers by any means, but they weren't "huge weaknesses" either. Both were generally solid, but unspectacular.

For most of the season our biggest position of weakness was NB (though Foreman turned things around eventually).

Randolph surely wasn't a weakness as the season went on. Was making a lot of big hits. That dude is hilarious to say the least.

Plays strong out in space... Safeties and linebackers try to tackle high and just slide off. Fun to watch.

They were weaknesses. It usually takes watching the games 2-3 times to see all their mistakes. They missed tons of tackles that led to huge runs. Randolph totally whiffed on Kelvin Taylor in the swamp that led to Florida's first score. McNeil totally whiffed on Sony Michel in the Georgia game setting up another score for them.

Foreman and Moseley killed us on pass defense. But Randolph and McNeil killed us on run defense. Bad angles and poor tackling by them led to too many big plays.

If you didn't get it the FIRST time you watched it, you're gonna start making up some crap...human nature. :)

Do they give prizes for being half right in March Madness? My bottom bracket has been destroyed. My top bracket is essentially intact. Bipolar picker.

Football - I need it. I am even seeing hope for the Titans. Some really solid off-season signings. It appears Robinson may be the real deal as the GM. Looking forward to the draft of the first time in years.

Our Vols will win the NC for 2016. Go ahead and make reservations for Tampa.

This is right on. McNeil was also a liability in pass game. He was a big hitter that did great in gang tackling situations.

Randolph was a great leader and had others in position but he was not a consistent playmaker.

Robinsons killing it IMO. I am betting on them taking Ramsey with their 1st pick.
