Do you even read? We're NOT comparing our team or recruiting classes here. Because of your original erroneous statement that our "best players were freshmen and sophomores" last year, that's what I'm discussing. Feel free to join the debate that you yourself started whenever you'd like.

Fact is, virtually no freshman on this team contributed anything last in relation to their older teammates. Jennings and PWill had a combined 21 catches. John Kelly ran for about 140 yards. Jack Jones got some spot duty at OG and played well...but only played in 9 games, only started 1 due to injury. Same with Chance Hall...played well when pressed into duty, but wouldn't gotten near the playing time he did if not for Kendrick's injury.

Defensively, Abernathy got a little run here and there but deferred to his better, older, more experienced teammates. The same was true of Phillips, Smith, KMac and Tuttle. They all made contributions but none of them did as much to earn playing time as the older players ahead of them on the depth chart. Even DKJr couldn't beat out an undersized, far less athletic walkon LB until game 4 or 5. And even then, as well as he played, he wasn't nearly as good as Junior JRM.

Perhaps you keep changing the subject because you know, deep down, that you don't have a leg to stand in here?

DK Jr. was an absolute animal the second half of the season and a playmaker. We don't beat Georgia without Kmac.

I'm not disparaging DKJr at all. Just putting his play in context to that of our best LB by a lot, JRM. DKJr started the last 10 games of the season and played well, at times flashing a tremendous amount of promise. But I think saying he was an "absolute animal the second half of the season" is a bit of an overstatement. In his 10 starts he averaged 5.7 tackles, had 5.5 TFLs and 2 sacks. That's very good, especially for a true freshman....and it's reason to be excited for his future as a fan. But "absolute animal"? I don't quite think so.

By contrast, during that same time, JRM averaged 8.5 tackles per game, had 9 TFLs and 4 sacks. Again, not disparaging DKJr at all, just comparing his play/production to our best, most experienced LB. And those 10 games doesn't include JRM's 21 tackle game vs OU.

As far as KMac vs Georgia, perhaps you could remind me of what it was he did to win that game? I recall him playing well, eating up some space, being in on some tackles (2 solos, 2 assts)... but I don't recall any big impact plays. He had no TFLs, no forced turnovers, and no sacks. And, we was a part of the DL that gave up 145 yds rushing to Michel.

Now, if you wanna say we don't win the Georgia game without Dobbs (460 total yards and 5 tds), I'm with you. You could even say we don't win without Kamara (2 TD catches), Pearson's 4th down conversion catch on his back, Josh Smith's great catch and run for a TD before the half, Malone's 5 catches and big 3rd down conversions or Randolph's great pass breakup on the final play of the game. But KMac? You're gonna have to refresh my memory.

That's all I need to know about you. You mock Butch Jones decision-making when it comes to calls in close games, yet you have faith in him when it comes to personnel? LOL.

Everyone who watched from Bowling Green knew Kirkland was better than Jumper. We just have a stubborn and dumb head coach that prefers to play less talented upperclassmen over more talented freshmen.

Same with Tuttle. When he got snaps he was CLEARLY our best DT. Butch was just too stupid to play him.

Same with Todd Kelly. Easily the best safety. Butch was just stupid. He prefers experience over talent.

It's the same moronic rationale that had Dobbs in the sideline in 2014 before he saved our season.

If you question Butch Jones decision-making in games, you should be just as skeptical with his personnel decisions.

By the end of the year Kirkland was better than JRM. Bigger, faster, more athletic, and just as cerebral.

DKjr has a much higher NFL ceiling and will be our best LB next year. IMO he surpassed JRM by the bowl game.

Considering the fact JRM was simply a special teamer as a freshmen and alot more undersized, I don't find what's so funny about saying DKjr has the more potential?

DKjr is far ahead of JRM as a freshmen.

You left out DKjr's interception and forced fumbles by a true freshman. He also flashed speed we haven't seen at MLB since Mayo.

Michel got those yards on a line that didn't consist of Kmac. Owen Williams and Vickers got mauled on his big run and McNeil got abused at the line of scrimmage, turning a 3 yard run into a 65 yard run. When Kmac played a lot, they didn't run the ball anymore and we took over.

Bbq joint down the road sells Tshirts

The good MTSU
The Bad WKU
The Ugly UT

I asked why do they even think they are in the same category? Pissed the owner off. Told him might as well put the Patriots on the shirt. Same difference.

I'm good with Middle, but I think they'd do better going after Vandy.

Interesting you single me out when this whole discussion originated from KBVol talking about the Florida/Tennessee game. Something that had nothing to do with Jacoby Stevens.

I'm not the only one that discusses off topic issues in these threads. So please stop singling me out. There are several off topic convos in all these threads.

I don't start most of them NOR am I the only one who takes part in them.

Best day of the tournament I can remember. March madness is absolutely bananas this year

Sure is! A 15, 14, and 13 seed won. 2 12s, 3 11s, and 2 10s. Craziness! I would like to see the women's tourney be more like this. It's so easy picking those games...just pick the favorite and you will go a long ways. There are hardly ever any upsets.
