The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

"Re: Ball out of Wade's hand with 0:01 on clock

The red light is on with the ball still in WBIV's hand. It should never have been that close against the 4rd worst team in the SEC"

4rd lol.

I have been cruising around their board for a bit, just checking out different threads and a common post over there in their football section seems to be "hopefully the Vols go back to their rightful place". Im curious, where do fans of other SEC teams think we should go back to? By my count, Tennessee is 2nd in literally every major statistical catagory (wins, winning %, bowls, bowl wins, etc.) trailing only Alabama and occasionally even topping them in a few areas. We are also Top 10 nationally in more than one catagory. Just seems like an odd post but you do tend to see it a lot on SEC boards.

Rightful does not mean traditional.

dude still thinks they make the tourney...with 13 losses....after getting bounced in the opening round of the sec tournament by a tennessee team without their best player that would struggle to win half the tssaa highschool district tourneys? Nah. They're done. Nit or bust.

Because obviously UT Football only started in 2009 or so. And Vandy willed their team into existence in 2011, upon which they automatically started winning. Oh, except the odd years of 1910, 1918 and 1921-22 when they threw together a team that gained a claimed national championship.

It's obviously easy to think we need to get back into our place since we are historically a horrible program.

Vandy sneaking into the tourney is probably enough for David Williams to extend Stallings' contract by another 5 years.

NCAA is run by big $ schools for big $ schools. If you wonder how Vandy and Syracuse got in over Monmouth, you haven't been paying attention for the last 30 yrs.....

Is anyone even surprised by this outcome? We beat them straight up, they should have been out. Some idiot or group of idiots votes them in and they can't hold their own. Shocked!

I'm interested to see if David Williams and alumni care enough to let Stallings go. 1-5 in the NCAAT in their last 6. I think that spans back to 2007 I heard. That lone win was in 2012 when they somehow managed to beat UK's NC team to win the SECT then lose in the 2nd round of the NCAAT.

The choke jobs that come out of West End are comical and confusing at the same time. It's been posited that Stallings grinds on kids so much that by the end of the season they're ready to just be done with him. If that's true, it's amazing he's still managed to recruit as well as he has and that the current roster hasn't "warned" recruits.
