I haven't liked either from the jump. Neither is qualified for the job. Neither of them have really laid out detailed plans or have had coherent messages so they're not any better than Trump. That being said, I'd love to see a Kasich/Rubio ticket out of the contenders we are stuck with.

Haven't we learned 1st term Senators make ****ty Presidents.

Well said Sir Piggy.

Gave you a like

This is just absurd. If we don't think like you we are dumb?

I think people with brains recognize that people can differ on political views without that difference being an indication of intelligence.

Well, I actually didn't say all Trump supporters. From where I sit, most of them are dumb as ****.

Hindsight is 20/20. Months ago I was thinking Trump didn't have a chance in hell, so why burn a bridge with the guy when you are both big business players?

Doing it now makes him look like a petty party stooge. Hell if he would have made this speech last week it wouldn't have looked so bad.

People are attacking Romney, not his message. That tells you right there the message stings.

I don't disagree with some of his message but most of it I do.

I think it was completely exaggerated - suggesting Trump is not a good business man in particular.

I think it was also a bad message since very similar criticisms were leveled against Romney - he should know better than falling to political rhetoric to smear a candidate.

In short, my criticism of Romney is that he gave the speech he did.

Read it again, chum

Maybe he cares about America and thinks Trump is bad for America, like most people with a brain.

What am I missing here? You are saying if you don't think Trump is bad for America you are dumb.

Let's reorder the words - most people with a brain think Trump is bad for America.

Is your out that you didn't say "all people".

I said "like most people with a brain". There is a logic to the statement. You cannot conclude from this statement that all Trump supporters are brainless. I intentionally phrased it that way because I agree there can be smart people who support Trump. No idea how they arrive there, but whatever.

Methinks you are a bit sensitive and the reason is you know who you're aligning yourself with. It's like me being embarrassed for associating with BYU fans :)

What was said should have been said by one of the candidates. I would not have a problem with one candidate attacking another. That is very hard nosed politics.

It was a pathetic act and low blow for the establishment to be part of this destroy Trump project going on. They are the leaders of the party, they do not own the party. They should adhere to the will of their party primary voters. They should realize the people can replace them.

Not at all.

Trump is not my candidate. I just think it's absurd how those heavily opposed to him go straight to demonizing his supporters (dumb, racists, haters, etc.)

It's the politics of personal destruction that have resulted in the divisive atmosphere we have now.

Bottomline the signal is clear - we don't want to win (beat Hillary) if Trump is the person to do it.

You're so voting for Trump.

The reason the establishment hates Trump is because he won't scratch all of their asses for them. Has nothing to do with his politics. It's not like he's the first to suggest building a wall and deporting illegal immigrants.

Doubtful.

Voted Kasich on Tuesday
Will probably vote Johnson if he gets the LP nod in the general.

If it were Trump v Hillary and my vote was a decider I'd vote Trump all day long.

Just pointing out a principle I try to follow about demonization of people based on their political views. I may criticize a particular person but try to avoid generalizations :hi:

VB, I respect you a one of the more intelligent posters on this board, but even you have to admit anyone who even spent more than 10 minutes researching Trump would be hard pressed to call him the best candidate.

And furthermore, I never thought I would ever see the day where the Obama-philes would ever be surpassed in their constant drooling over everything he said and did as well as being the "savior."

Until I met most Trump supporters.

I like kasich but he looks ill. He would probably be the best President since clinton. Republicans want blood and rage right now and hes just too rational though.

I think the entire problem with this election cycle is that people are fed up to the gills with years and years of partisan politics. People are tired of nothing getting done, of the bickering and the far left and right views being thrown about by politicians.

People want change and there isn't anyone willing to drive that change in either party. There also isn't someone willing to be a middle of the road candidate. Someone willing to appeal to both sides and not go full conservative or liberal. There needs to be another party that can work with both sides and appeal to all.

Why don't we leave it up to the voters?
