If I were one of Trump's campaign advisers I'd be telling him to put Sessions on the top of the VP short list. It would really help him try and rally the conservatives who are still iffy about him.

It looks as if Sessions is already positioning for that consideration. He pulled that MAGA hat out like a five-star kid on signing day. Personally, however, I think Trump would go much more establishment mainstream on a veep nod -- somebody like a Lou Ferrigno type. He might even consider Mr. T to lock down the BLM crowd.

Yeah, way to go Rastradamus. :)

Objectively, I wouldn't even begin to make predictions based on a four candidate race like that. You always have the Libertarian and Green parties lurking in the background, but this would basically be worse than the Perot/Bush/Clinton 1992 race with the additional factor of Bloomberg.

The media outlets would love it though.

Oh, Rastradamus! Obscure 26th cousin, five times removed, of the famous Nostradamus.

Last I heard, he was predicting a German banking collapse, brought on by the CIA, and which would inevitably usher Germany (and the rest of Europe with it) into the loving embrace of a Utopian land called "Russia."

An excellent prophet, he.

There are so many variables. Can Trump take the nomination and placate the GOP brass? Will he pivot toward the center? Will Republican moderates actually go over to Hillary?

Trump has some appeal to the labor Democrats, and Hillary isn't nearly as compelling as Obama. I think it comes down to whether minorities turn out against him in greater numbers. And since both candidates are so utterly unlikable, we may see some more third party action.

As someone who has voted both Democrat and Republican--I am not voting for Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. I figure Bill, for all faults, was a pretty good president. Hilary is his wife--I'm sure the country will be fine with her, or at least it will remain stable. I see a nightmare reality show (or worse a World War) if Trump is elected, and Cruz reminds me of one of those people who killed Witches in the 1600's.

One of my primary concerns with another Clinton presidency is the inevitable sex scandal. Bill was bad enough. I just don't know how the country will react when Hillary is caught banging a 20 year old female intern in the oval office.

I think many people hate Hillary enough that they are willing to vote for Trump, even if they don't actually like him.

I think trump is a carnival barker that brings no substance to the table - even at this point of the campaign. I don't think highly of him as a man or a candidate.

But I am in the camp above. I'll vote for him over Hillary.

Hillary Clinton is essentially just more of the same that we've had since FDR, which is why I always scratch my head when people go on rants about how she and Obama are trying to fundamentally change America.

Trump's presidency would largely be tempered by Congress and the Court, but the thing that worries me most about a Trump presidency is his foreign policy, which Congress would have relatively little authority to curtail, outside of a declaration of war. I think a Trump presidency would be an absolute disaster for American international status, despite his statements about how we shouldn't get involved in the Middle East. He will alienate so many nations - allies, potential allies, and adversaries alike - that you could probably kiss our privileged world status goodbye.

I'm going to disagree on remaining stable. So long as Hillary continues placating to every group out there, panders to every voting block and continues the current divide in this nation, there will be no stability.

I can see Putin baiting Trump into a war. He would use Trumps personality and lack of thought against him.

I don't know about a war with Russia, but this is another matter of Trump's character that very much worries me concerning his foreign policy. He is so undisciplined and incontinent over such silly ****, like Twitter comments (which is one reason why I've always compared him to an adolescent teen girl, undergoing her obligatory "angst" years), that one wonders how he can possibly handle diplomacy - especially in intense moments of crises as are sure to arise - with any kind of level-headedness.

But, more specifically to your point, Trump can't even handle criticism from Twitter or from protesters at his events, or from anyone for that matter. What makes any rational human being think he's going to be able to handle any possible criticism that may come his way from a Putin, a Xi, or even a Lil' Kim?

The last thing we need is showdown in the South China Sea because Trump feels that his pride has been hurt by Xi

Yes, the Rosie O'Donnell feud is a good example.. He still hasn't gotten over it because he made his "ugly" comments about her again recently. (She dared mention that he had several bankruptcies/affairs/divorces and he shouldn't be depicting himself as some sort of moral compass--all which is true about him) If he gets that angry over what one celebrity said, how is he going to deal with what a President has to go through on a daily basis?

Or how will he deal with congressional democrats. They will poke at him until he loses it.

If his current approach is what we are to witness in a Trump presidency, then he is going to operate that position like he would his boardroom. That kind of approach may work just fine and dandy for The Trump Organization, but I can guarantee you that it will not for the American presidency.
