It is technical a declaration: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/2719954-Declaration-by-Drae-Bowles.html
Thanks!
That doc is not really not a satisfying response, imo. Just seems like more of the same 'settle this now' tactic the lawyers have deployed. I don't see how Drae has read it given it contradicts his own words and even his actions like the bowl game. But hey, what the hell do I know?
It just doesn't pass the smell test and FWIW I'm almost always on the allegeds victims side but this gives me a bad feeling (the Duke case did as well).
Maybe it's wishful thinking but like I said it just doesn't feel right and I DO believe UT like every other college could improve on this..
Sending a WR to the NFL is not going to get us murdered in WR recruiting.
You're crazy if you don't think it's easy to believe that UT wasted a top nfl talent (if he becomes a top nfl talent). The story everyone will believe is that he succeeded in spite of UT because UT obviously couldn't even get him the ball in college. Why go play for UT if you're an NFL talent when they've proven they don't know how to use an NFL WR, North would have gone first round if he'd been at any other SEC school, etc..

No. He was injured while he was here.
This is like me saying Georgia will suffer recruiting RBs if Keith Marshall suceeds in the NFL.
He was out in the field blocking and not getting thrown to. Marshall was on the bench and on crutches. No one would believe that nonsense about injuries being the reason. If he was too hurt to catch a ball he wouldn't have been on the field blocking for Johnson and Jennings.
