CBJ allegedly tells Drae Bowles he 'betrayed the team'

Yes, that would have been smart, Bowles ends up in the hospital...no media people would have asked any questions about that? Right.

Maybe it went like this:

1 Boyles helped the girl
2 Boyles was assaulted for helping
3 Boyles felt bad about "betraying" his team mates and lied when deposed
4 Boyles then was treated poorly by the team and CBJ
5 Boyles decides to tell the truth once he considers the matter further and in the context of being assaulted, ostracized, and called a traitor by the coach

Serious question,
Why is it so important to the 2 of you that you convince everyone else UT is guilty and horrible?

Maybe you are assuming the worst in a lot of people and taking what was written in the Tennessean as 100% established fact without context to anything that was allegedly said.

If he hadn't acted like Richard Nixon, he'd probably have survived though.

No "probably" about it. Also if our AD didn't submit butt-up to the NCAA. Jim Calhoun squeezed one more championship after being caught for worse.

You've obviously never been to divorce, traffic crash, and immigration courts where thousands of liars show up for paydays every day.

They aren't all making the same/similar accusations against one defendant.

When you lie, you lose credibility. Especially under oath.

...and it just hit ESPN with the editorial liberty taken to add that Butch said Bowles betrayed the team "for helping a sexual assault victim".

This is a train wreck.

Good old Marxist media with an agenda to always "bring down and speak truth to power". If they didn't have games on ESPN, I would never, ever watch that effing channel again. They're doing their part, just like they did with the Duke Lacrosse case.

He's got an agenda. Please don't quote him.

He called him a traitor.....so what? A.J. has not been found guilty of anything at this point. So at this point he did betray the team. If A.J. is found guilty then Butch will just have to admit he was wrong.

Just thinking about how this may have played out. Not convinced UT is guilty, but I am pretty convinced of some horrible behaviors and lack of consequences.

Do you think the girl was not even assaulted?

The biggest down side to that, we may as well slap an ATM sticker on our backs.

Not just our backs, I fear we may be the last barrier standing before similar instances happen across the nation. I kinda find it odd that FSU pays the woman that accused Winston of rape(I tend to believe her) and then our situation arose. imo if we settle then Oklahoma is next on the chopping block due to the mixon case and the frat thing that happened and after that its gonna really gonna kick off.

Can your brain not comprehend that my posts is he did not do a bad thing? He did suspend AJ and Bowles did not get beat to the pulp. The things we actually do know is that he is suspending players and letting the police do their jobs. Unlike Florida state and how they handled it. You would rather run with what he was alleged to have said by someone who can gain a lot from it. I know you we a true VOL fan but your approach on this is like a kid whose batting approach will never get him out of rookie ball.
